December 2019 Wrap Up

Posted January 3, 2020 by Carole in Monthly Wrap-Up / 22 Comments

December 2019
December always seems to a very busy month.  There is just so much to do and never enough time to do it.  We had our first snowstorm of the season.  I am not a fan of snow but my boss sent us home mid-morning and I am a big fan of leaving work early.

My daughter came home from college about halfway through the month.  I have enjoyed having her home but she does seem a bit stir crazy at the moment.  My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary this month.  We attended 4 separate family gatherings during the month to celebrate the holiday and a birthday.

I am linking this post to the Monthly Wrap-Up at Feed Your Fiction Addiction.

  1. I love the: I am not a fan of snow but I am a big fan of leaving early part of the wrap up! Same here, I hate snow but love getting a surprise snow day off :p Yay for finishing the year with so many books and here's to a great 2020 year πŸ™‚

  2. I think you've done great with your reading considering all the stress and upheaval you've had with all the college visits and Mr Carole's job and a new puppy! We haven't had any snow yet-I like it as long as I'm indoors and don't need to go out in it as I have no sense of balance!

  3. Wow you read a lot despite having a busy month! I'm a fan of leaving work early, too, lol!

You know I loved Regretting You as well. The Christmas Pact was a lot of fun, too. I'm looking forward to picking up A Murderous Relation. Glad to hear you loved it!

  4. I'm amazed at how many books you read considering how bust you were! And I spy several I will check out.

  5. Oh you said it! December went by in a whirl for me, too.

You got in some great reads, though. πŸ™‚ Yay for 86% at Net Galley!

  6. Happy 20th Anniversary to you both! πŸ™‚

You had a wonderful reading month with all that you had going on. I see some from your reads that I'll be adding to my list.

    Happy New Year!

  7. Cheers to leaving work early!! We had an early release due to snow one day in December as well. Another day I ended up working from home because it was wicked icy! Happy 20th anniversary!! That is amazing!! <3

  8. Happy Anniversary, Carole! It sounds like you had a nice December. I have never lived anywhere where it snows. I am not a fan of the cold though, especially ice, and so I imagine I wouldn't like it much.

An Easy Death is one of my poll options for this month's TBR List poll. I can't wait to read your thoughts on it. I am so glad you are enjoying the Chloe Neill's books!

I hope you have a great January, Carole!

  9. Happy anniversary!! And happy New Year too. πŸ™‚ Hope yours is getting off to an awesome start.

    Murderous Relation looks so good!

  10. What a wonderful month of reads. I see some familiar books here but I'm not surprised because I think our eclectic reading tastes are very similar.

  11. I think that's a great month of reading with all the other activities. I find I'm listening more than reading when I am so busy.
