Fifteen years ago Ryder
Creed’s sister, Brodie disappeared from an interstate rest stop. She
was only eleven and Creed was fourteen. Since then her disappearance has
haunted him, so much so that Creed has dedicated his life to his K9
business. He rescues abandoned dogs and trains them for scent detection.
Together they search for the lost and missing.A thousand miles
away during a police raid, FBI special agent Maggie O’Dell stumbles
upon a clue that may explain what happened to Brodie Creed all those
years ago. The search and scavenger hunt that follows will be as
gut-wrenching for Creed, as are the answers he discovers.
I love Alex Kava’s writing. So much so, that her books are books that I plan to re-read at some point. I read each and every one of her books just as quickly as I could get my hands on them prior to tracking my reading or having a blog. Keeping up with review commitments as a blogger made it hard to find the time to squeeze in some of my old favorites. I have read the first three books in this series and really enjoyed this. This book has been waiting on my Kindle patiently for its turn and I think that it might be time to dust it off and give it a read.
What are your thoughts? Have you read this book? Would you recommend it to others?
I don't think I know of the author or the series
I've heard of the author though it's not on my personal radar. Enjoy!
I was cleaning up my book shelves yesterday and came across the first book in this series. I set it close by so I'd remember to start it!
Sadly, I have favorites that have sat while I try to catch up on ARCs, too. I tell myself to take less of them, but they look good, too. 🙂
This is another author who fell off my radar. I read one and LOVED and then got distracted by so many other things.
i love alex kava too. i got to meet her once and get a couple books signed

I read an Alex Kava mystery years ago featuring Maggie O'Dell. I enjoyed it, but I never did dive more into the series. I hope you enjoy this one when you read it, Carole!
I've only read the first book and have never managed to go further in the series. They all seem to be at my library so I put the second one on reserve.

I say meh 😉
Never read anything from this author, but it sounds like it could be emotional and intense.
