April Wrap Up

April 2021

April kind of flew by.  In some ways, it was a strange month.  We had some really great weather and some crazy cold temps with snow that are not normal for my region at all.  My plants all started to bloom and by the end of the month, spring was in full swing (along with the allergies that go with it).

I had a hard time keeping up with everything this month but that is kind of becoming the norm.  Juggling a household, a full-time job, and my reading commitments can be quite the chore.  I made the task even more challenging by moving my blog to WordPress.  I am glad that I made the move and am okay with it being a work in progress for a while.  Hopefully, you guys don’t mind 🙂

I am still enjoying Bookstagram and am enjoying taking photos a lot more than I would have imagined.  Last month, I set a goal of reaching 1,000 followers by the end of April and I am currently at 1,094 so I can say that I achieved that goal.

How was your month? Do you have any reading or blogging goals for May?

  1. Congratulations on surpassing your Instagram goal. Way to go! I hope my experience with WP is as good as yours.

  2. The weather was a bit all over around here, too. I have been waiting to put in my tender seedlings into the veggie plot as a result. 🙂 You are juggling a lot, but I’m glad you have had a pretty good month. Looks like you read a nice variety of books and got them from several sources and keep whittling down the piles.

    Have a good May, Carole!

  3. Hi Carole! This is very nicely put together. I like! I’m going to take a look at What’s done in the Darkness. If it was your favorite read for the month, I’m sure it’s good!

I love your new blog and seriously contemplate if I shouldn’t just do the same. Maybe I’ll just hang on with Blogger for a little while longer. Your work in progress is making good progress!

    Have a good week ahead!

  4. I heard about the late snow–so crazy! I bet your plants and flowers are lovely right now. My roses have bloomed and are quite beautiful. I’m always amazed given how neglected they are. They get watered regularly, but I am bad about pruning them back. I am glad Bookstagram is working out so well for you. I gave it another look and find it frustrating. I wish there was a desktop app for it. I figured out some work-arounds, but they are a bit complicated and still don’t make things easy.

It looks like you had a great April in books! I read The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba last month as well and enjoyed it. I still need to review it.

I hope your May has gotten off to a great start! Take care, Carole!

  5. I completely understand the struggle of doing all the blog commitments while working and life. I’ve been struggling as well. I’m trying to get back to visiting blogs again. I really miss it.
