The first rule of book club: You don't talk about book club.
Nashville Legends second baseman Gavin Scott's marriage is in major league trouble. He’s recently discovered a humiliating secret: his wife Thea has always faked the Big O. When he loses his cool at the revelation, it’s the final straw on their already strained relationship. Thea asks for a divorce, and Gavin realizes he’s let his pride and fear get the better of him.
Welcome to the Bromance Book Club.
Distraught and desperate, Gavin finds help from an unlikely source: a secret romance book club made up of Nashville's top alpha men. With the help of their current read, a steamy Regency titled Courting the Countess, the guys coach Gavin on saving his marriage. But it'll take a lot more than flowery words and grand gestures for this hapless Romeo to find his inner hero and win back the trust of his wife.
Why did I add The Bromance Book Club to my bookshelf?
I bought this book during a trip to a local bookstore back in December 2019. I had seen a lot of really positive reviews for the book from fellow bloggers and wanted to experience it for myself. But I brought it home and put it on my shelf where it has stayed. I tend to read this kind of book pretty quickly so you would think that I would have found the time for it by now. I did notice that the audiobook is available at my local library so I may end up picking that up since I tend to get to audiobooks a little quicker.
What are your thoughts? Have you read this book? Would you recommend it to others?
sounds like a fun one
Your book looks tempting! I found one in the very back of my TBR pile…and now I hope to finally read it! Enjoy!
I wasn’t a huge fan of this one (the female lead and her sister ruined it for me) but I am very much in the minority. Everyone else seems to love this one… and the other books in the series.
Girl, you need to read this!
I really enjoyed it. I did have to adjust because it was more serious than I anticipated from the cover and the blurb, but that said, the gent’s book club group is a hoot.
This one is sitting on my TBR shelf too. I’m sure I will like it when I do read it. I hope you will too!
I haven’t read it but that sounds like a lot of fun.
Carole, I think you would enjoy this book. I am fan of the series. The guys club is the best part for me.
I am really enjoying this series. That said, this book was my least favorite. I’ve been told the audio is great. I think the second book might be my favorite.
I get to audio books faster too and this looks like one that would be great on audio. I remember when this came out and it does sound good.
I have thought about reading this one a thousand times.
I love the idea of Books from the Backlog. I will join in now and then!
I have heard great things!
This one is on my backlog too!
