July 2021 Wrap Up

July 2021

July felt really busy.  It was pretty hot for much of the month which made getting things done a little more uncomfortable.  We took a short trip to Columbus, Georgia where we did some hiking, did a little shopping, went to a few museums, and even caught up with an old friend.  We walked the dogs about 1,000 times and even slipped into the pool a time or two.

My reading has been down a bit.  I didn’t really read while we were out of town so I am not entirely surprised.  My reading continues to be dominated by audiobooks that I can listen to at work.  I am trying to carve out a little bit of time every day to read something on my Kindle or a print book.  I completely failed with blog hopping and hope to do better during the month of August.  I was a bit of a slacker on Instagram and didn’t post nearly as often as I have been.  My follower count is up to 1,659 and I hope to be more consistent in the next month.

I am linking this post to the Monthly Wrap-Up at Feed Your Fiction Addiction.

  1. I’ve been noticing lots of good mentions of A Good Day for Chardonnay, so I might just have to add that one. I haven’t yet read the author.

    Enjoy August!

Great month Carole, glad you got to take a little time off to travel. I loved the Darynda Jones and the Roberts and I Wouldn’t Change a Thing is up soon for me too. Thanks for sharing

  3. The heat left me a bit lethargic, too, and I didn’t get as much done as I planned. Yay for a lovely trip and some enjoyable books even if there are fewer this month. I hope to read the Darynda Jones one soon.

    Have a great August, Carole!

  4. I really want to get some blog posts scheduled ahead. I feel like I’ve been slacking on the blog thing lately – at least in terms of doing things last minute, and that’s rough when I know that life has been busy lately. LOL

It has been pretty hot though, which is good only when I can get in the pool. hah

  5. I always have grand plans on reading a ton when I’m out of town and it never seems to work out that way. 🙂 I enjoed Waylaid so much. And I really want to read that series by Jennifer Estep.

  6. It’s been a busy month for you guys! You’ve read so many great books in June. I really want to read the Kleypas, the Nora Roberts, and the Darynda Jones. Hope August is a great month!
