I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

I guess that this was a pretty normal week. Nothing unusual happened at work. The week was pretty quiet for the most part. I tried really hard to get around to blogs and was doing pretty good until one of my dogs wanted to climb in my lap Wednesday. I guess I need some dog cuddles so I spent the time I usually spend on the computer loving on my Molly dog. On Thursday, I went to my mom’s house to see my sister, my niece, and my grand-nephew who were visiting from out of town. I went there straight after work and by the time I got home it was time for bed but it was nice seeing everyone. On Saturday, we did some shopping with my mom and had a nice lunch out.

What I’m Reading

I only finished 4 books this week but two of them were really short. I finished I’m with the Banned by Marlene Perez early in the week and thought that it was fun. I decided to re-read A Spindle Splintered by Alix E. Harrow before writing my review and loved it the second time around. I found Cackle by Rachel Harrison really hard to put down and ended up loving it. Nothing But Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw was a novella that I liked but didn’t quite love.

I am loving America’s First Daughter by Stephanie Dray & Laura Kamoie. I have another 4 and a half hours to go and hope to finish it sometime on Monday. I have only read a chapter of An Impossible Impostor by Deanna Raybourn. It isn’t published until February but I just couldn’t wait to get started with it.

  1. Yay for a quiet week and a lovely visit with your sister and her family. Four finished books this week is great and I’m glad you loved most of them. And, look at you having a week without adding any to your TBR. 🙂

    Have a great week, Carole!

  2. Well it doesn’t sound like a bad week, pretty balanced with reading, family visits and not too much projects. I’m in this weird position where I am trying to balance out my audios and ebooks. I thankfully got more audios this month because I have been falling asleep instead of reading the ebooks. And audios are much better for yard work, cleaning, kitchen packing, etc. I hope it’s a great week for you!

  3. Awww, your dog babies are too sweet. Cuddles are good for the soul, so, time well spent. It’s nice you got to spend some time with family. Glad you had a good visit.

  4. Spending time cuddling sounds like a great way to spend time. We got a new puppy two months ago, so I’ve been busy trying to keep up with her. She’s an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler, so tons of energy. She’s my third Heeler, but my first puppy (my husband’s second, when I met him, he had a one year old that was my first heeler). I love these dogs so much. But they are a handful. Have a great week.

  5. Normal weeks are so nice! So glad you got dog cuddles and time with your family though I know visiting can be exhausting. Yay for not getting any new books! I hope you’re having a wonderful week!
