I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a quiet week and I like quiet weeks. I went to work every day and tried to read as much as possible when I wasn’t working. We walked the dogs every day including one morning before the sun came up. On Saturday, I went to a local bookstore that I had not been to in years. They had books all over the place and I found a few that I just had to have. I did do a little better with blog hopping this week and I hope to continue to do so.

What I’m Reading

I only finished 4 books this week. I finished Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales last Sunday and posted my review last week. I listened to Bursting with Love by Melissa Foster which was an entertaining romance. I then changed gears and listened to Turn Coat by Jim Butcher and loved it even more than I did the first time I read it. I spent most of the week reading Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr and I absolutely loved it.

I am actually between books at the time that I put this post together. I think that I might start Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé this week. I am thinking that my next audiobook will be The Donut Trap by Julie Tieu.

Books Added

The Rogue King by Abigail Owen (Publisher)

  1. That does sound like a smooth and calm week. Glad you had one after several tumultuous ones. Fun that you got to a bookstore you hadn’t visited for a while and found some good ones. Nicely done getting to four books this week and picking up with your visiting. Looking forward to your thoughts on those books.

    Have a good week, Carole!

  2. Oh nice! Which store did you go to? Main Street Books in St. Charles is my go to place! Lynn Cahoon was there yesterday. I haven’t read her books but thought this new series sounded cute and thought why not?! Lol.

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • I went to The Book House in Maplewood. The last time I was there they were still in an old house but now they are in downtown Maplewood. I have a weakness for used bookstores. Main Street Books is my go-to for new books 🙂

  3. Quiet weeks are delightful and I’m glad you got one! And what fun to visit a bookstore you haven’t been to in awhile! I love the bookshelf picture. Have a wonderful week!
