I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a pretty good week. I spent a lot of time alone at my full-time job which I enjoy. I worked Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at Barnes & Noble. I have started working on the store’s Instagram account and was able to spend a small part of my shifts taking photos and getting posts ready.

I did a puzzle this week. I haven’t been doing puzzles because I feel like I need to be working on the computer any time that I have free time at home. I need to spend time doing the things that I love so I am going to try to find a balance. I plan to spend 1 hour each night that I am home blog hopping and commenting on blogs but I also want some time to read, work on puzzles, or watch television.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I read 4 books this week and once again they were all audiobooks. I started the week off by listening to Eleventh Grave in Moonlight by Darynda Jones and had a fabulous time with it. I then switched gears and listened to The Blood Gift by N.E. Davenport which I didn’t like quite as much as I liked the first book in the duology. Next up was Friends Don’t Fall in Love by Erin Hahn, my favorite of the week. What Wild Women Do by Karma Brown was a well-done book that kept me glued to my headphones.

I am enjoying Becoming the Boogeyman by Richard Chizmar and should finish it soon. I picked up Hunt on Dark Waters by Katee Robert on a whim but I am enjoying it so far.

Books Added

Disturbing the Dead by Kelley Armstrong (Publisher); The Haunting of Hecate Cavendish by Paula Brackston (Publisher); Night of the Witch by Sara Raasch and Beth Revis (Publisher)

The Ascent by Adam Plantinga (Publisher); Hunt on Dark Waters by Katee Robert (Publisher); A Holly Jolly Ever After by Julie Murphy & Sierra Simone (Publisher)

  1. That’s a good plan for balancing your home activities. I’m glad you found time to get back to your puzzles along with reading and online. How neat that you’re setting up your store Instagram account as part of your work.

    Have a good week, Carole!

  2. That would be so cool to work on a bookstore Instagram! 🙂 And you have lots of spooky looking books for October!

  3. Glad to hear you had a good week.
I agree with you about setting some free time for yourself to do the things you really like to do.

  4. You do need to set aside time for yourself to relax! I love doing puzzles as well and that’s an excellent way to unwind. Plus, you can listen to an audio while working it. I have Hunt on Dark Waters as well. Hope we both love it!

  5. I really want to read Becoming the Boogeyman. I liked the first one. I need to find more time/energy toward blogging but not over do it. It’s hard to go from being on the computer all the time for work to going home and doing the same.

  6. I love doing puzzles but I don’t have a safe place to keep them while working on them – I have two curious cats who will push all the pieces on the floor! A few years ago, I bought one of those roll up mats, and then I’ve never tried it. I should! I hope this week is a little more restful.

  7. That’s neat that you are able to work on the store’s Instagram’s account. I am glad you are working on finding a balance so you can do things you love. Sometimes it can be so hard to juggle it all. I am looking forward to Hunt on Dark Waters and hope you continue to enjoy it. I hope you have a great week, Carole!

  8. Your talk of puzzles has reminded me how much I’ve missed doing puzzled and we’ve started putting aside a night a week to work on the puzzle collection we’ve built up. I hope you’ve had a great week and had some time for you!
