I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
This week was a busy one! I spent several nights at my mom’s house and kind of felt like I was running around all over the place at times. My husband visited me at work Thursday afternoon since he hadn’t seen me in 2 days. I guess it is a good thing that he still misses me when I’m gone after 25 years together.
Mom is improving and will be spending more time on her own beginning this week. She has started physical therapy which should help. I am looking forward to being one step closer to normal next week.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I was able to finish 1 book on my Kindle and 1 audiobook. Nemesis by Anna Banks was very good and I am glad I could finally finish it. Unfortunately, I will need to read the next book in the duology to get any kind of resolution. It took me so much longer than it should have but I finally finished Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros on Friday and I found it highly entertaining.

I have read about a third of My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher and am having fun with it. I have listened to about 25% of Borne by Jeff Vandermeer. I am hosting a book club discussing this book Wednesday night so I have to hurry up and finish this one!

Books Added

Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Publisher); The Knight and the Butcherbird by Alix E. Harrow (Publisher); A Long Time Gone by Joshua Moehling (Publisher)

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Glad your mom is doing better! I forgot to check in last week when I was still out of town to see if you had updates! But glad to hear she’s doing well. Nice to know your hubby was missing you too! 😉
Nice new reads! These are new to me ones! I still need to read Harrow. I have one of her books in my TBR that I wanted to give a try. Hope you enjoy the new reads and have a great week ahead!

Glad to hear mom is doing better, and yes, it’s so sweet that the husband misses you. Hope you have a great week!
I’m glad your mom is improving. You’re in that sandwich between parents and kids which keeps you busy to say nothing of your job, home and husband. Wishing you an easier week.

That’s so sweet your husband visited you at work! I’m glad your mother is doing better and hopefully things will settle a bit for you soon. A Long Time Gone looks good! Can’t wait to see your thoughts on it. I hope you have a great week!
I’m glad your mom is home and doing a little better. Fingers crossed this is a slightly less hectic week for you.
I still have not read anything by Taylor Jenkins Reid! One day
