Weekly Wrap Up #451

I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

I tried to take care of myself a little better this week. Not planning a bunch of things on days that I had to work helped a lot. I go in late on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I was very frustrated on Wednesday morning because my sewing machine wasn’t cooperating. I wanted to keep messing with it but had to leave for work. I got things sorted out on Thursday so all is well.

Our area had some terrible storms on Friday night. We were very lucky that everything missed us. My sister had a lot of damage and one of my friends from work had some as well. My dogs did not approve of the storms so we spent the evening catering to them.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished one book this week. The Lamb by Lucy Rose started strong and ended very well but did bog down a bit in the middle.

I have listened to a little more than half of Jane and Dan at the End of the World by Colleen Oakley and am looking forward to getting back to it.

  1. Glad you were taking care of you and got the sewing machine sorted. That is so wild March weather you are getting out by you. I am happy you are safe. Curious what you think of the Oakely book. I have mixed feelings.

  2. Glad you got your sewing machine figured out! Yeah, those storms were scary! Luckily it seems my family across the area all managed well. Just the usual scuff ups from the high winds. But yeah, that night gave me anxiety soooo bad! We did lose power for over 12 hours, thankfully it’s not 90+ degrees yet, so it wasn’t as dreadful as the last time when it happened in July! Yuck.

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one. I hope you enjoy it!

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. Lulu is under my desk as it rains and thunders this morning. I don’t mind a day of rain, as we need it, but the strong winds are less positive. I love it when my life is flexible scheduling and I can just work something until it’s finished (like the sewing machine) instead of having to do it in small pieces of time. Of course, really big projects have to be broken into parts because they would take more than a day. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

  4. Glad the storms missed you! I got lucky as well – apparently I was “ground zero” according to a coworker who checked up on me; not as bad as last year with a lot of hail damage and a tornado right down my street. Did have a few lights flickering but thankfully no power outages.
