#1 New York Times bestselling author Ilona Andrews is back with the newest book in the exciting Hidden Legacy series—the thrilling conclusion to her trilogy featuring fierce and beautiful Prime magic user Catalina Baylor.

An escaped spider, the unexpected arrival of an Imperial Russian Prince, the senseless assassination of a powerful figure, a shocking attack on the supposedly invincible Warden of Texas, Catalina’s boss... And it’s only Monday.

Within hours, the fate of Houston—not to mention the House of Baylor—now rests on Catalina, who will have to harness her powers as never before. But even with her fellow Prime and fiancé Alessandro Sagredo by her side, she may not be able to expose who’s responsible before all hell really breaks loose.

I loved this book! I am convinced that the writing pair of Ilona Andrews can do no wrong. That is the only explanation that makes any sense. This book had everything that I had hoped it would have and I enjoyed every moment that I spent reading it. The story was exciting, unexpected, funny, and sometimes touching. I am so glad that I decided to pick up this entertaining novel.

Catalina has a lot of problems to juggle in this book. There is a Russian Prince causing trouble and the Warden of Texas has suffered an attack. She needs to find out who is behind it all and try to figure out how to find a resolution that will keep everyone safe. There were some pretty big surprises worked into this story that left me speechless. I loved the magic and action in this story which kept me turning pages as quickly as possible.

It was great catching up with all of the key players in this series. Catalina and Alessandra are a wonderful couple and I loved how dedicated they were to each other. I love the way we have watched these characters grow as individuals and in their powers over the course of this series. The story was really serious at times but it had a nice dose of humor sprinkled through the book as well.

I would highly recommend this series to others. This is the sixth book in the Hidden Legacy series which I would read in order if at all possible. I do hope that we see more books set in this world featuring this group of characters at some point in the future.

I received a review copy of this book from Avon Books.

  1. I see so many raves for Ilona Andrews and it makes me sad that my first experience was a less-than-great one. I went with the audio version and really had an instant aversion to the narrator (who is apparently beloved). Hopefully at some point I will try again but go with the kindle version. So glad this one was such a hit for you!

  2. I agree, I pretty much think they can’t write a bad book! I was rejected for the ARC of this one *sobs* but I bought all three versions: print, e-copy and audio. Will be starting soon! I’m hoping we get a trilogy with Arabella, too, but I want them to write more Julie, more Hugh, more Innkeeper. So I’ll be happy getting any new story from them, lol!
