Stacking the Shelves #107

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.

My Life

This was another quiet week for me.  I love quiet weeks!  We took one of our dogs, Molly, to the vet on Monday for her annual shots.  She didn’t appreciate the experience at all and was quite the drama queen about it.  I had a great week of reading and read some really amazing books.  All in all it was a great week!

Books for Review

The Good Luck Sister by Jill Shalvis (Edelweiss)
Rainy Day Friends by Jill Shalvis (Edelweiss)

I was approved for both of these books Friday evening.  Jill Shalvis is a favorite so I am really excited to read more from the Wildstone series.

Bountiful by Sarina Bowen (Audiobook Jukebox)
Weave a Circle Round by Kari Maaren (Audiobook Jukebox)

I was really excited to get the chance to review both of these audiobooks.  The approvals came in at the perfect time since I was in the process of choosing what I would listen to next.  I stated listening to Bountiful right away and am close to finishing it right now.  Bountiful has been an amazing listen so far.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. We have a bit of a drama queen dog in our house too. Though he probably doesn't appreciate the title! But he's very dramatic and a bit of a baby. He's all bark (literally!) and no bite! Lol!

Ooh nice! Totally new to me reads! Hope you enjoy them all!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. You are a terrible influence! I just went over to Edelweiss and requested the 2 Jill Shalvis books! Not sure if I'll get them but one can hope. Sounds like a great week despite Molly's traumatic experience. Dogs are funny. I've had a few that are so stoic they can have a major injury and not even grimace and some that if the ground is cold they refuse to go outside! Have a great week!

  3. Glad it was a great week! That's funny abut the dog (although she probably didn't think it was too funny!) Hope your reads are good this week too… the Shalvis cover with the beach has me thinking of sunnier days!

  4. I'm with Molly. I don't appreciate shots either (even if they are for my own good). You have the new Shalvis books. I am jelly!!! I am on the library waitlist for the first book in the series. I am hearing good things, but let's be serious, I love Shalvis. I just saw that you gave Bountiful 5-stars, and I need it even more now. I have this no book buying thing, and Hoopla had all the other books in this series, so I am holding out, but I still really want to read it.

    • I just love Shalvis so I was really excited to be approved for both of these. I did give 5 stars to Bountiful! I loved it! I did start searching for the earlier books in the series as soon as I finished and will probably grab them from Hoopla. I think you would like it, Sam!

  5. Lots of Jill Shalvis I see! I have yet to read one of her books but I really want to do so. I have two of her 2017 publications (I think they're from 2017) that are sitting on my shelf. Whoops! I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a good weekend, Carole. =)

  6. Our pups love the vet. Booker T even has a girlfriend who works at the vet office – and yes, she's human. Glad you had a nice quiet week. I think I need to check out Jill Shalvis because look at those pups.

  7. I don't blame your doggie for not being thrilled. Love the dogs on the cover of Jill's books. She is one of my favorites too.

  8. I had to take my oldest dog to the vet for a pulled muscle, she was calm but I didn't like seeing her hurt. Both audios look like they'd be good listens. I hope you enjoy your books!
