This was another quiet week for me. I love quiet weeks! We took one of our dogs, Molly, to the vet on Monday for her annual shots. She didn’t appreciate the experience at all and was quite the drama queen about it. I had a great week of reading and read some really amazing books. All in all it was a great week!
The Good Luck Sister by Jill Shalvis (Edelweiss)
Rainy Day Friends by Jill Shalvis (Edelweiss)
I was approved for both of these books Friday evening. Jill Shalvis is a favorite so I am really excited to read more from the Wildstone series.
Bountiful by Sarina Bowen (Audiobook Jukebox)
Weave a Circle Round by Kari Maaren (Audiobook Jukebox)
I was really excited to get the chance to review both of these audiobooks. The approvals came in at the perfect time since I was in the process of choosing what I would listen to next. I stated listening to Bountiful right away and am close to finishing it right now. Bountiful has been an amazing listen so far.
Yay for a quiet good week!!! I got those two Jill Shalvis books Friday too. I was super excited. Have a great week!
Yay! I hope we both enjoy the Shalvis books 🙂
We have a bit of a drama queen dog in our house too. Though he probably doesn't appreciate the title! But he's very dramatic and a bit of a baby. He's all bark (literally!) and no bite! Lol!
Ooh nice! Totally new to me reads! Hope you enjoy them all!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
We have 2 drama queens and one dog that doesn't mind so much. It can be fun!
You are a terrible influence! I just went over to Edelweiss and requested the 2 Jill Shalvis books! Not sure if I'll get them but one can hope. Sounds like a great week despite Molly's traumatic experience. Dogs are funny. I've had a few that are so stoic they can have a major injury and not even grimace and some that if the ground is cold they refuse to go outside! Have a great week!
I try my best to be a bad influence 🙂 Our dog that died a few years ago loved to go to the vet so these drama queens that I have now are very eye opening.
Glad you had a good week. This is a great haul; they are all new to me but I hope you enjoy them all. Have a great weekend!
My STT
Thank you!
Glad it was a great week! That's funny abut the dog (although she probably didn't think it was too funny!) Hope your reads are good this week too… the Shalvis cover with the beach has me thinking of sunnier days!
She didn't think it was funny at all…but it was a bit comical.
Nice haul for your quiet week. Oh, poor pooch, but needs be done. 🙂
Yes, she is a very poor puppy 🙂
I'm with Molly. I don't appreciate shots either (even if they are for my own good). You have the new Shalvis books. I am jelly!!! I am on the library waitlist for the first book in the series. I am hearing good things, but let's be serious, I love Shalvis. I just saw that you gave Bountiful 5-stars, and I need it even more now. I have this no book buying thing, and Hoopla had all the other books in this series, so I am holding out, but I still really want to read it.
I just love Shalvis so I was really excited to be approved for both of these. I did give 5 stars to Bountiful! I loved it! I did start searching for the earlier books in the series as soon as I finished and will probably grab them from Hoopla. I think you would like it, Sam!
Lots of Jill Shalvis I see! I have yet to read one of her books but I really want to do so. I have two of her 2017 publications (I think they're from 2017) that are sitting on my shelf. Whoops! I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a good weekend, Carole. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Shalvis has been consistently good for me so I am really excited to read these new books.
Taking the dog to the vet is always an experience.
She cried the whole time. It was pathetic!
I haven't read any Jill Shalvis books, but they look fun. I need to read some of them. Have a wonderful week.
Shalvis is such a great author. I am so glad that I stumbled across her work a few years ago.
I really enjoy quiet weeks too and I am happy you had a great week! Great haul!
Quiet weeks are the best!
My dogs are so bad at the vet. When one of my dogs was younger, the vet always had to call in reinforcements to help hold her down. Now she’s old and doesn’t fight so much. I hope you enjoy your new books!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Nobody had to hold her down but there was a lot of crying and trying to leave. Not to mention acting like a maniac in the car on the way to the vet. Total drama!
Glad you had a great week and hope you enjoy all your new reads this week.
Thanks, Jovita!
Calm weeks are the best. Especially when it's boring wintertime anyway 🙂 enjoy your week! Hope it's another calm one.
Calm is very good 🙂
I love when I get a new review audiobook when I'm trying to decide what to listen to next. Makes that choice so much easier. I hope you enjoy all of your new books.

It really worked out perfectly this time.
The vet is ALWAYS a fun trip. Note my sarcasm. Lol. Glad you had a quiet week. Enjoy your books!
I have had dogs that didn't mind it but two of mine right now really hate going there.
Weave a Circle Round was really original. I haven't tried the others. Happy reading!
I plan to try to listen to that one this week. I hope it works out for me.
Our pups love the vet. Booker T even has a girlfriend who works at the vet office – and yes, she's human. Glad you had a nice quiet week. I think I need to check out Jill Shalvis because look at those pups.
My Hershey loved the vet because she knew that they had treats there. Two of the dogs that I have now hate going so it is a new experience for me. I do love the Shalvis covers!
It looks like you added some great books to your shelves.
I hope that they all end up being great reads.
I don't blame your doggie for not being thrilled. Love the dogs on the cover of Jill's books. She is one of my favorites too.
Shalvis is such a great author. I am really looking forward to reading her upcoming novels.
I had to take my oldest dog to the vet for a pulled muscle, she was calm but I didn't like seeing her hurt. Both audios look like they'd be good listens. I hope you enjoy your books!
I wish we could do a calm vet visit. It just isn't meant to be for my girls.
I don't blame your dog for being grumpy about a vet visit! I hate normal doctor visits too!
Very true!
I didn't realize that so many of Shalvis's books involve dogs. Dogs always make me happy. 🙂

There are quite a few dogs on her book covers. Dogs make me happy too 🙂
It's true, we have to be able to appreciate our quiet weeks as well! I am having one of those at the moment, so I should appreciate the restful time ^.^
Quiet weeks are really my favorite kind of week 🙂
