We have no big plans for the weekend which is good since they are predicting lots of rain. I do hope to get some reading done and maybe catch up on a few things around the house. My husband is off this weekend so we might actually go out to eat. My husband works every other weekend so we usually only get 4 days a month off together and tend to squeeze lots of things into those weekends.
What Have You Done by Matthew Farrell (Kindle First Reads)
Up for Heir by Ruth Cardello (Kindle Unlimited)
Shivaree by J.D. Horn (Kindle Unlimited)
I picked What Have You Done as my Kindle First Reads pick for September since it looks like something I would enjoy. Continuing with my quest to listen to as many audiobooks as I can from Kindle Unlimited during my 3 month membership, I borrowed Up for Heir and had a great time with it. I then borrowed Shivaree for my next listen since I have had an arc of this book for a very long time and need to mark it from my to read list.
I'm glad you finally had a quiet week. I'm hoping for one next week as I'll be taking a few days to chill out and rest. A stress de-tox!
I love quiet weeks and don't get enough of them!
I've been surprised that the rain has been constant! They kept pushing back its start time and then I noticed it only rained hard for a short time yesterday! I know we're hoping for lots of rain to help the sod that we have down in the backyard.
Nice new reads too! All totally new to me ones! I hope you will enjoy each and every one of them too!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!

We actually ended up getting a lot less rain than expected and today was beautiful which was great!
Quiet weeks are good. I hope youβre able to get a lot of reading done. Enjoy Game of Thrones and time with your family!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks, AJ!
Good job finding a dress so quickly. I remember looking for formal dresses forEVER with my daughter (things I don't miss). KU is doing audiobooks now? Cool.
I was shocked that we found one as quick as we did. I don't really enjoy the process so I am very happy!
Quiet weeks are good! π Hope you get to enjoy GoT, never got into that one. I have fell down a binging rabbit hole this week though…lol. Enjoy your new reads!
Stormi
I didn't get any GoT in this weekend but will probably watch some next weekend or I might squeeze in some during the week.
Quiet is good. I hope you guys get to go out to eat.
We ended up eating at home but did do a little shopping so it is all good.
Yay for a quiet week π THose are needed!
I lvoe quiet weeks!
Yep, I'm with the rest of them and cheer on the occasional quiet week. I had to get ready for our City Wide Garage Sale weekend and sold about half my stuff. I'm not doing it tomorrow b/c its our turn for all the rain. π
I picked the same book for my prime freebie. And, I've been trying to sample as much as possible from the Kindle Unlimited trial deal, too.
Yay for checking things off the to-do list. Enjoy the time out to eat with your hubby.
Garage sales are exhausting! It sounds like you sold a lot though. It is hard to read as much as I would like from Kindle Unlimted because of my review obligations but I am trying!
Quiet weeks are the best!!! It is rainy here too this weekend and I also hope to get some stuff done. Enjoy GoT and have a great week!
I agree!
Glad you had a nice quiet week! Hope you have a great week!

Thanks, Ronyell!
It sounds like a quiet week is just what you needed and is basically some weekends I like to have as well. I am sure you chose a lovely dress together π Hope she will enjoy her homecoming dance ^^ And yay for some new reads! I haven't heard of any of them before.
My recent post: http://oliviascatastrophe.com/2018/09/the-last-of-the-firedrakes-book-review/
I know she is really looking forward to going to homecoming this year!
Yay for quiet. I picked the same Prime reading option. I had the last couple days off so I am working both days of the weekend. I just hope I am not working every day this week and next weekend also. I need to look at the KU options on audio. Is there an easy way to search for them? I have the same 3 month KU deal. I don't add library books on my STS post; they just show up when I have actually read them. Anne – Books of My Heart
I don't usually add library books either but I decided to put the KU books this week since I didn't really add to much.
Hope you have a great weekend and good luck with the GoT watching! I'm binging Wentworth myself so I can relate. Quiet weeks are nice. π
Hope your reads turn out well. π
I really cannot wait to get back to GoT!
I had a quiet week, kind of. Turned into a 5 day weekend because we had a hurricane blow through. Didn't do any real damage. Just lots os rain. I can't wait for the final season of GOT. I bought seasons 1-7 and plan to start rewatching it to get ready! I loaded up some cozies and horror for October and starting on them now.
I bought the seasons 1-7 set and should be ready for season 8. Glad you stayed safe in the hurricane!
Quiet weeks are the best! And yay Game of Thrones! I adore that show, enjoy season 5!
Thanks!
It was a quiet week for me too, but with loads of work somehow. Well, that'll happen after vacation, I guess π
Have a great week!
That always happens to me after vacation!
I hope you'll enjoy these new books! Happy reading!
Thanks, Melliane!
I got the wedding from hell that Kim from Caffeinated read! Still free it's awesome
Free is always good!
It is always good to have quiet weeks. Wow, you are watching Game of Thrones! It is my favourite show of all the time. I wish I could watch it for the first time all over π Season 5 is a treat.
I hope you enjoy your new books. Have a lovely week ahead.
My wrap-up: https://flippingthruthepages.com/2018/09/weekly-wrap-up-1/
I can't believe that I didn't start watching it until recently. I am hooked now though π
Quiet weeks really can be nice. Yay for your husband being off this weekend. I hope you were able to enjoy some time together. It rained almost all weekend here, which was a bit of a bummer because I had some outdoor plans that were ruined or postponed. But it was still pretty relaxing!

They expected more rain than we actually got but everything still got cancelled. I don't think that people around here knew what to do with themselves.
We had rain all day today and more forecasted for tonight. Nothing was really heavy though so I found it a good excuse to stay inside and read. Hope you and your husband got to do some fun stuff together despite the rain. I used to hate shopping for dance dresses – prom was a nightmare! Glad you got that accomplished too. .
That sounds like a great plan, Barb!
Oh a quiet week sounds nice and how great to have some time with your husband. Hopefully you had a fantastic weekend! And are having a great week!
Thanks, Katherine!
I think the shorter work weeks are the longest. They feel that way anyway. I hope you are staying dry and safe, Carole. Enjoy your new books!
It sure does seem that way, Wendy!
