Look at the cute dog. Wonder if the dog is actually in the book or if this is another case of false dog advertising? I'm anxious to read The Mermaid. Hopefully soon.
The dog is in the book but does not play a big role. I had really hoped to see the dog a whole lot more than she actually showed up. I think the dog is in maybe 3 brief scenes.
I really want to read The Mermaid – it sounds great. I haven't read anything by the author yet, but I'm curious about ALL of her books to be honest.

I read the first Dreg City book by Kelly Meding recently and really liked it, so it's nice to see she has a new one out. I need to read more of her stuff! And I keep seeing good things about Bring Me Back.
I am going to have to read more of Meding's work. I will be checking out Dreg City soon.

I'm excited about starting The Mermaid! I added Stray Magic to my TBR earlier today, and I think it has the potential to be wonderful. Bring Me Back was okay. I enjoyed the suspense and mystery, but wish they had gotten to the conclusion a little sooner. I hope you enjoy it! <3
