**WINNER of the ILA Young Adult Book Award!**
Get ready to die laughing: this is an outrageously funny ride through the last hours of a teenager’s life as he searches for love, meaning, answers, and (just maybe) a way to live on.
Denton Little’s Deathdate takes place in a world exactly like our own except that everyone knows the day on which they will die. For Denton, that’s in just two days—the day of his senior prom.Despite his early deathdate, Denton has always wanted to live a normal life, but his final days are filled with dramatic firsts. First hangover. First sex. First love triangle—as the first sex seems to have happened not with his adoring girlfriend, but with his best friend’s hostile sister. (Though he’s not totally sure—see, first hangover.) His anxiety builds when he discovers a strange purple rash making its way up his body. Is this what will kill him? And then a strange man shows up at his funeral, claiming to have known Denton’s long-deceased mother, and warning him to beware of suspicious government characters. . . . Suddenly Denton’s life is filled with mysterious questions and precious little time to find the answers.
I first became interested in this book after reading Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog‘s review. (Her blog is awesome by the way – you should totally check it out if you haven’t had the chance to do so yet.) When I happened to see this book at my dollar store, I bought it immediately and felt like I hit the jackpot because I knew that I was going to love this book. It has sat patiently on my bookshelf since that day. Maybe I will try to get to it someday soon.

So many books we are sure we are going to love and not enough time to get them all read!
Isn't that the truth?!
This one actually looks really intriguing! I love the vertical car on the cover – I thought it was a gun at first glance
I do like this cover and think it is really visually interesting. I do want to get to this one soonish.
Well you know I will say to definitely get to this one 🙂 It was a lot of fun!!
I do hope to get to it sometime soonish. I kind of forgot I had it to be honest 🙂
I have not heard of this one, but it does sound interesting! I am not sure I would want to know the exact date when I will die. While it would be nice to prepare–I worry I would be overcome with the anxiety of everything I didn't get to do . . .
I like the sound of the book but I would not want to when I will die myself 🙂
LOL! I've said this so many times myself and let it set.
It is a problem.
oh yes I remember seeing this one around
It was popular a couple of years ago.
I haven't read this one.
Me either 🙂
I can not recall ever seeing this one around
I think it sounds great!
I hadn't heard of this one but it sounds interesting. Sigh. Too many things sound interesting right now and I won't be able to do much next week with working all the time. So I'm trying to get everything done in advance now. I look forward to hearing about it when you read it. Anne – Books of My Heart
It is so hard to keep up with everything!
Interesting cover. Yay for a good deal!
I love me some bargain books 🙂
What an interesting cover. Yay for buying it for a buck! Hope you get to read it soon.
Thanks, Aleen!
Oh, you just reminded me of this book! I do want to read it too – all the reviews for it were so positive and it sounded like so much fun. Hope we can both get to it soon 😀
I hope we both like this one, Olivia-Savannah!
