This week’s neglected book

Sweet Revenge by Rebecca Zanetti

Series: Sin Brothers #2
Publication Date: December 3, 2013
Publisher: Forever (Grand Central Publishing)

The One Man She Can’t Have

Matt Dean was born to fight . . . and kill. A member of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be the perfect soldiers with an expiration date. Now, with time running out, he’s gone rogue in a relentless quest for the one person who can save them. His mission leads him to Charmed, Idaho . . . and to a beautiful woman with eyes like emeralds and a body made for pleasure.

The One Woman He Can’t Resist

Laney Jacobs knows the mysterious, handsome stranger is trouble from the moment he walks into her bar, looking for a job. She’s spent years running from her own past-the last thing she needs is a romantic entanglement. But Matt’s strong arms offer her protection and his gentle touch promises passion unlike anything she’s ever known. As lethal forces surround them, revealing explosive secrets about Matt’s past and putting everything-and everyone-he holds dear in danger, can he save them all before time runs out?

Why did I add Sweet Revenge to my bookshelf?
I downloaded this book from NetGalley in December 2013.  Yes, I still have books on my NetGalley shelf from 2013 and more of them than I would like to admit.  I actually have books 2 and three of this series from NetGalley despite the fact that I hadn’t read the first book when I downloaded either of them.  I actually plan to tackle this one very soon, probably sometime later this month.  For some reason, I seem to be wanting to read a bunch of older books instead of more current releases lately.  I am listening to the audio for the first one in the series right now and am enjoying it so I think that this one will work for me just as well.  I am looking forward to marking some of these older NetGalley books from my list.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?

  1. You like romantic suspense, right? I have seen a lot of good things about this author, too. What milestone if you knock out that ARC from 7 years ago. (I know I have some old ones out there too)

  2. Lots of bloggers seem to enjoy Zanetti's writing. I'm happy to finally have my Netgalley list under control lol. Only 3 left to review!

  3. Ahhh, Matty! I loved this series and this hero in particular. 🙂 Can't wait to see what you think. My NetGalley overdue list needs work, too.

  4. Oh I loved this series! I got it on audio from the library but I read the whole thing in a few weeks. I hope you love them too.

  5. If it makes you feel better I have NetGalley books from a similar time frame. One day I'll get to them – or at least that's my plan! This sounds good and I've heard good things about this author.

  6. GIRL!!! You NEED this book in your life. But I will warn you. I read this book and bought the rest of the books in the series because it was so addicting and delicious. Its definitely up your alley.

  7. I have NetGalley books on my shelf from then too, so don't feel too bad. Or maybe we should both feel bad together. LOL I may have this one. I'd have to check.
