New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Elle Kennedy brings her signature angst, humor, and romance to the first book in a series about four hockey-playing college roommates and the women who knock them off their pedestals and teach them how to love.
She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy...
Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice...even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.
...and it's going to be oh so good
All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he's worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he's all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn't take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn't going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.
Oh, I loved this book! I have seen this book around for years. Everyone seemed to absolutely love it so I knew that it was something that I wanted to read but I still waited years to pick it up. Well, I finally gave it a read and now I understand what the fuss was all about because this was fantastic! I didn’t want to put this book down once I started reading and was completely captivated by the story.
Garrett needs a tutor. He just got the results of an important exam back and if he can’t get his grade up he is going to be kicked off the hockey team. Hannah did well on the test but she has no desire to spend her time tutoring the conceited hockey player even though he keeps asking for her help. She does want to get a certain football player’s attention though and Garrett is willing to help her make it happen but only if she agrees to be his tutor.
I just loved Hannah and Garrett. These two were absolutely fantastic together. I really liked that these two got to know each other before any kind of relationship started. The chemistry between the pair was incredibly well done and I really felt like they were meant to be together. The banter between Hannah and Garrett was so much fun. I had no idea that this book would be so funny! Both Hannah and Garrett have some pretty big issues that they are dealing with and I really loved the way that they were able to lean on each other as they worked through them.
I would highly recommend this book to others. I had such a good time reading this romance and fell completely in love with Hannah and Garrett in the process. I cannot wait to read more of this series!
I received a review copy of this book from Bloom Books.
Ah yes I really loved this book, this one was better than the others in the series.
I never knew about this book. I will have to check it out. Thanks for this recommendation.
So glad you loved this one, Carole! Even though the details are fuzzy at this point, I do remember loving Hannah and Garrett. 🙂
glad you liked it Carole I’m not usually into NA because it tends to be high drama but it sounds like these two are real grown ups. Thanks
Chemistry is so important in a romance. Hannah and Garrett sound like a great couple. I am glad you enjoyed this one, Carole!

I need to try her books!
I loved all the books in this series, but this was the OG, where it all started. Glad you enjoyed it
I took forever to get to this book and was glad to pick it up last year. I don’t go in for college romances these days, but I loved this one.
Oh this looks like a fun one! I love the fake relationship trope and I love the sound of both the characters in this one.
