True Love Never Dies
Times have changed, and the old Wild West is a thing of the past. Nestled in his beautiful Colorado ranch, surrounded by family, infamous former outlaw Jake Harkner's hung up his guns for good and finally found a measure of peace—but dark memories haunt the woman who has always been his strength, and not even Jake is certain he can save his beloved Miranda this time.
All he can do is swear to remain by her side. But it takes more than a hope for peace to outrun a past defined by violence, and it isn't long before Jake is embroiled in a rescue mission he simply can't refuse. Life has brought him back full circle as he rides into Mexico to save a young girl from a dreadful fate...leaving Miranda behind one final time, fearing that the man she loves more than anything is destined to die the way he's always lived—by the gun.
Why did I add The Last Outlaw to my bookshelf?
I have read books 2 and 3 in this series this year and would love to tackle this one as well before the year draws to a close. I downloaded this book from NetGalley in 2017 and never got around to it until now. Please don’t ask me why I downloaded book 4 in a series that I hadn’t read because I couldn’t tell you why I did these things. I have really enjoyed the first 3 books and can’t wait to see what is in store for Jake and Miranda in this installment.
What are your thoughts? Have you read this book? Would you recommend it?
All 4? lol
Nice one! That’s a new to me series! I can easily say why I am always adding the next book to my pile before I read the previous one…sometimes it tends to be that I plan to binge the series and it’s just best to have them all lined up in advance. Just the actual getting around to bingeing them becomes the problem! Lol!
Haven’t read it or any of her books but it looks good
I’ve done the same thing – picked up a book mid series and ….why???? I did that with Louise Penny’s Gamache series, read a couple in the middle then went back and read them all in order. However, I don’t think that’s the most efficient way to do it 🙂 Enjoy the book.

It sounds like a solid choice to read having read previous books.
YAY! Love this book so much, Jake and Randy are such an amazing couple right? Thats so funny that you downloaded book 4 before reading the previous books as it features the same couple, they did a splendid job on the covers though so maybe that was it? She is working on book 6! Can you believe that! I think it will mostly feature the kids and their marriages mostly I think. And you should also check out her new contemporary, its so so good.
I’ve done that too–downloaded or bought a book that’s later in a series. Sometimes it’s because I didn’t know it was part of a series. I hope you enjoy this one when you read it!
I loved this series to death so I’m glad your reading it. Haha, that’s great to know I’m not the only crazy person who grabs a book late in the series for some odd reason without reading the earlier ones. 🙂
It looks like a companion, so it probably doesn’t matter that it’s book 4.
Hmm this one is new to me
Hope this one is awesome! 🙂
I don’t think I’ve read any American historical fiction and this looks really interesting. I’ll have to add this to my TBR since you enjoyed the previous books.
