“Reid’s hockey-themed Game Changers series continues on its red-hot winning streak.” —Publishers Weekly, starred review for Common Goal

New York Admirals captain Scott Hunter takes his pregame rituals very seriously. In this case, it’s not just a lucky smoothie he’s craving—it’s the man who made it.

Pro hockey star Scott Hunter knows a good thing when he sees it. So, when a smoothie made by juice bar barista Kip Grady precedes Scott breaking his on-ice slump, he’s desperate to recreate the magic...and to get to know the sexy, funny guy behind the counter.

Kip knew there was more to Scott’s frequent visits than blended fruit, but he never let himself imagine being invited back to Scott’s penthouse. Or kissed with reckless abandon, never mind touched everywhere all at once. When it happens it’s red-hot, incredible and frequent, but also only on Scott’s terms and always behind his closed apartment doors.

Scott needs Kip in his life, but with playoff season approaching, the spotlight on him is suddenly brighter than ever. He can’t afford to do anything that might derail his career…like introducing the world to his boyfriend. Kip is ready to go all-in with Scott—but how much longer will he have to remain a secret?

Why did I add Game Changer to my bookshelf?

You have probably guessed by now that I am a book hoarder. My tastes are pretty eclectic and I basically want to read everything so I buy books with the best of intentions but life makes it impossible to read as much as I want. I bought this book a year ago…okay, I actually bought most of the series which is probably no surprise to anyone. I have kept this audiobook downloaded on my phone because I keep thinking that I am going to read it next. Maybe I will actually get around to it soon.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it?

  1. That’s a new to me one! I’m the same I buy books with every intention of reading them then life happens, sleep needs to happen, jobs change and all that! If I go on a vacation I’m possibly going solo and driving solo so that means no car reading and I know this is when audiobooks would be a help but when I drive my mind tends to drift on all those long endless highways. Lol.

Hope you get to read this one soon!

  2. I read M/M or F/F when it is part of a series or sometimes a particular book. But I don’t seek it out normally and since there are so many books I want to read I probably do not prioritize these books.

  3. An all too familiar tale for me, too. Collecting books-even series, but then not having time to read them. Hopefully you get to this one soon. Looks like a good sports romance.

  4. Sports-themed books aren’t usually my thing, so I haven’t heard of this one. I do the same thing with buying multiple books in a series even though I’m not caught up, though. I suppose that makes me a book hoarder too. (And I’m okay with that. 😉 )

  5. I’ve found I’m absolutely terrible at reading the books I own. I’ll read library books or new review books over books I own every time. I need to get better about that! I hope you enjoy this – and the rest of the series!
