I absolutely loved this book! I listened to the audible version of the story and I have to say that if you have a choice as to how you experience this book, I would definitely go for the audio. It was fantastic. This was a book that made me actually want to stay in the car to hear a little more just so I could hear a little more of the story. I almost pushed the kids out of the car so I could turn it back on (you do NOT want to try to listen to this book with your kids in the car – trust me!). I did make my husband listen to it with me for a little while and I caught him laughing at it more than once.
This isn’t the kind of book that I read all that often and I have to admit that I am a little ashamed that I liked it so much. If someone had told me all about Drew Evans, I would have said he sounds like an asshole and you know what – Drew IS an asshole! Drew is everything I should have hated in a male lead…but I loved him anyway. This is entirely Drew’s story – told from his perspective. I know that there are other books told from the man’s point of view but I think this may be the first one that I have had a chance to read and I really enjoyed the change.
The narrator on the audio, Sebastian York, nailed the delivery on this audiobook. He was perfect and I fell in love with his voice. I actually spent a day trying to figure out what the man looked like because he is Drew Evans. He has to be there is no other explanation as to how he could so perfectly tell this story. If you can experience this story via audio, I think you will find that it is really the way to go.
As we have already covered, Drew is an asshole. He is a player and a king when it comes to one night stands. And then he meets Kate. Kate is a new employee at Drew’s firm and she is proving to be a challenge. They have a lot of chemistry together and it was just fun anytime they were together. Drew has a total change of heart in this book and his turn around was dramatic.
I loved the originality of this story and how it is told through humor. People love to laugh (at least I do) and this book is just plain funny. I liked that Drew is paired with a woman who will not tolerate his crap in this story. Kate is exactly what Drew needed. The story never felt boring and the humor never grew old. It was trashy at times but it was fun.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a humorous romantic story. This was the first book that I have had a chance to read by Emma Chase but I will be reading the rest of the series in the very near future.

It was such a fun book! That's for sure. I wanted to listen to it every time I was in the car but I didn't do it while my kids in the car. I did start an audiobook in the car one time when my kids were with me and I learned to be very careful with that from that point forward. I just thought I should warn others 🙂
so an a-hole was narrating the book? Did the audiobook sound interesting or just rated?
I am sure that the narrator is actually a really nice guy. The character could be kind of a jerk at times but he was a whole lot of fun. This was a really good audiobook. I definitively recommend this one.
