A woman who defies her time
Dr. Garrett Gibson, the only female physician in England, is as daring and independent as any man—why not take her pleasures like one? Yet she has never been tempted to embark on an affair, until now. Ethan Ransom, a former detective for Scotland Yard, is as gallant as he is secretive, a rumored assassin whose true loyalties are a mystery. For one exhilarating night, they give in to their potent attraction before becoming strangers again.
A man who breaks every rule
As a Ravenel by-blow spurned by his father, Ethan has little interest in polite society, yet he is captivated by the bold and beautiful Garrett. Despite their vow to resist each other after that sublime night, she is soon drawn into his most dangerous assignment yet. When the mission goes wrong, it will take all of Garrett’s skill and courage to save him. As they face the menace of a treacherous government plot, Ethan is willing to take any risk for the love of the most extraordinary woman he’s ever known.
In the thrilling, nerve-wracking finale of Ezekiel Boone’s “hair-raising” (Parade) Hatching series, the United States goes to war against the queen spiders that threaten to overtake the human race forever.
The world is on the brink of apocalypse. Zero Day has come.
The only thing more terrifying than millions of spiders is the realization that those spiders work as one. But among the government, there is dissent: do we try to kill all of the spiders, or do we gamble on Professor Guyer’s theory that we need to kill only the queens?
For President Stephanie Pilgrim, it’s an easy answer. She’s gone as far as she can—more than two dozen American cities hit with tactical nukes, the country torn asunder—and the only answer is to believe in Professor Guyer. Unfortunately, Ben Broussard and the military men who follow him don’t agree, and Pilgrim, Guyer, and the loyal members of the government have to flee, leaving the question: what’s more dangerous, the spiders or ourselves?

Garrett isn't really a female name though =d plus the cover isn't really for me * think the dress is a bit bleh for a doctor?* I live in Australia, I'm not going to read Zero Day anytime soon
I loved Hello Stranger. Yes, her name is a bit different and the cover looks too modern but it was a great story. I am also quite read for some spiders 🙂
I heard a few times about Zero Day, the others are new to me
Hopefully, you found a few that you might enjoy.
I need to catch up on The Hatching books and Shallow Grave sounds awesome as well!
I hope to read Zero Day soon and I agree that Shallow Grave sounds great.
The first one really got me, those cover looks so gorgeous!
It is a very eye catching cover.
I'll give the Lisa Kleypas book a pass. I decided this series wasn't for me after the first one and a half books, which was devastating because I love her older historical romances. I will be reading the Joy Fielding one, though!
Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I loved Hello Stranger but haven't read any of the other books in the series so I can't compare them.
I really want to read the Ezekiel Boone series!
I am having lot of fun with it!
Zero Day looks interesting. I'll have to look into the others.
I hope to read Zero Day in the next couple of weeks.
Hello Stranger is really calling me! It sounds amazing plus I love Lisa Kleypas!
I loved Hello Stranger and can't figure out why I haven't read more Kleypas in the past few years.
I AM going to get reading about those pesky spiders soon! Next month hopefully!
I look forward to your thoughts on that series!
Hello Stranger! I've been meaning to keep with that series but haven't only read the first book. The covers are very eye-catching. Happy reading, Carole!
Have a wonderful day. =)
