This week’s neglected book

Fight or Flight by Natalie J. Damschroder

Release Date: September 17, 2013
Publisher: Carina Press

Eighteen years ago, a group of men killed Regan Miller’s boyfriend and tried to kidnap her daughter, Kelsey. Since then they have lived in hiding, always vigilant and never getting close to anyone.

When Kelsey goes away to college, Regan finally begins to relax. She even starts to think she can have a real relationship, perhaps with her flirtatious neighbor, Tyler Sloane. Then Regan is attacked again.

Desperate to get to her daughter, Regan accepts Tyler’s help—despite her suspicions about him. She knows nothing about Tyler but he knows a shocking amount about her past. Tyler can’t tell her what he knows or who he works for, but he insists she can’t face her enemies without him. Tired of living in fear, Regan is ready to take the offensive, with Tyler by her side. But is she relying too much on a man she can’t trust—and falling for him, too?

Why did I add Fight or Flight to my bookshelf?

I am not sure how long I have had a copy of this book sitting on my bookshelf but it has been a number of years.  I think that I accepted a copy of this book for review back when I was a new blogger and just couldn’t keep up with everything.  I hate to say that it kind of got lost of the bookshelf for a while.  I have read and enjoyed this author in the past so I am moving this book a bit closer to the top of the pile.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?

  1. Ha! I made the same mistake of biting off more than I could chew with review books when I first got started. Glad you love her books and are bumping it forward on the pile. Looks exciting.

  2. Totally new to me but I feel so excited for the story after reading the blurb. I love a good suspense and on the run type of plot so this is right up my alley. Hope you get to it soon. This happens to all of us. So many books. Too little time to read.

  3. For me the books on the backlog tend to be the ebooks. Whereas the print books are in my face on my shelves and nightstand as reminders.

  4. I don't know the author, but have heard of her. It sounds great. I always like romantic suspense or when there is a plot in addition to the romance. Anne – Books of My Heart
