This week’s neglected book

More Than Words by Mia Sheridan

Publication Date: June 12, 2018
Publisher: Forever

No one lays open the heart and soul quite like New York Times bestselling author Mia Sheridan.

The moment she met Callen Hayes, eleven-year-old Jessica Creswell knew he was a broken prince. Her prince. They became each other’s refuge, a safe and magical place far from their troubled lives. Until the day Callen kissed her—Jessica’s first real, dreamy kiss—and then disappeared from her life without a word.

Years later, everyone knows who Callen Hayes is. Famous composer. Infamous bad boy. What no one knows is that Callen’s music is now locked deep inside, trapped behind his own inner demons. It’s only when he withdraws to France to drink his way through the darkness that Callen stumbles into the one person who makes the music return. Jessica. His Jessie. And she still tastes of fresh, sweet innocence . . . even as she sets his blood on fire.

But they don’t belong in each other’s worlds anymore. There are too many mistakes. Too many secrets. Too many lies. All they have is that instinctive longing, that need—and something that looks dangerously like love.

Why did I add More Than Words to my bookshelf?
I was so happy when the publisher sent me this book so I have no idea why I haven’t worked it in yet.  The rating on Goodreads is pretty high and a lot of my friends really liked it so I think it is a pretty good bet for me.  I am hoping that I can find a way to work it in soon.

This week’s photo
This week’s photo may not be the best but it wasn’t as difficult as some of the other photos I have tried to take of my dogs.  Molly sat still so I took a pic and didn’t try again.  We’re not even going to talk about whether Molly is really supposed to be on the couch.  Molly is turning into a pretty good doggie model 🙂

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?

  1. Nice that Molly is cooperating with the picture taking. 🙂 And More Than Words sounds pretty good. Although seeing that title made me think of the song by that name haha!

  2. I listened to one of hers on audio and it was fab. It brought out all the feels. This one looks good, too. Bring tissues with you. 🙂

  3. Molly is a wonderful model – such a great picture. This book doesn't sound like something I'd read but I do hope you love it!

  4. I also have this book sitting on my shelf unread. I might have to pull it out and get to it soon, after reading the synopsis, I remember it seemed like something I would like to read. Hopefully you'll get to it soon.
