New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Elle Kennedy brings her signature angst, humor, and romance to the second book in a series about four hockey-playing college roommates and the women who knock them off their pedestals and teach them how to love.

He's a player in more ways than one...

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he'll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he's worth a second chance.

Now he's going to need to up his game...

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She's not a charity case, and she's not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He'll have to work for it. This time around, she'll be the one in the driver's seat...and she plans on driving him wild.

I had a really good time reading this book! After loving the first book Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series, I couldn’t wait to read the next installment. I really enjoyed Logan and Grace’s story and found a big smile on my face as they worked to find their happily ever after. I am so glad that I decided to give this series a try.

Logan and Grace were both great characters and I thought that they worked well together. Logan has been hung up on his roommate’s girlfriend but after meeting Grace he thinks she might be exactly the distraction that he needs. Grace is a freshman and she thinks that she might finally be ready to move things to the next level with Logan. Until he screws up. He is determined to win her back and do whatever it takes to make it happen.

I thought that the chemistry between Logan and Grace was very well done. I really liked the way that they were with each other and I thought that their personalities really shined together. Each of them had some things that they were dealing with and I enjoyed seeing each of them tackle the problems they are facing. I thought that both characters showed a lot of personal growth over the course of the story. I did find some humor in this story, not quite as much as in the first book, but I thought that it added a nice element to the story.

I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a wonderful romance with characters that I couldn’t help but love, some swoon-worthy moments, and a nice dose of heat. I cannot wait to read the next book in this entertaining series.

I received a review copy of this book from Bloom Books.

  1. I actually have all the books in the series on my kindle, I grabbed them during a promotion quite a long time ago and I’m regretting not to have read them right away! You are giving me the right push to remedy to that though, Carole! 😀

  2. love your review Carole but NA usually isn’t a genre I enjoy, I will check it out though because who knows it only takes one book to get a reader hooked. Right

  3. Logan ended up being such a complex character. I liked getting to see all his layers. It was so sweet what he was willing to do to win Grace’s heart too.
