Optioned for Film by UniversalMy whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.
Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.
Which could spell death for us all.Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.

Why did I add Crave to my bookshelf?
I picked up a copy of this audiobook about a year ago thinking that I would get to it soon. It is funny that I always think that I am going to do that based on my history. At this point, I have collected most of the series so I sure do hope that I like it. It looks like some of my Goodreads friends did like the book but quite a few didn’t care for it at all. Hopefully, I can get to it before too much longer.
What are your thoughts? Have you read this book? Would you recommend it?
Oh fun! I did enjoy this series myself! I thought it was a lot of fun. I can admit at times things did get a little slow, but they always picked back up. It’s was more a calm moment before the storm kind of thing when I think back on it! Hope you enjoy this series! The first one ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, so good to at least have the second book ready!
I have not read this but with the YA classification I would be very picky about it. I know how it is collecting a series and then hoping you will like it.
You need to read this soon so I can decide if I am curious enough to pick them up. I will admit I am kind of in a vampire era right now but don’t want to read another Twilight sort of series. Hope you love it! Oh and if you want a good vampy/school setting book, I highly recommend Vamps by Nicole Arend. I read it earlier this year and loved it.
My SIL recommended this one to me. It does sound good.
This series seems to be quite popular. It was a big vampire comeback
Haven’t read this particular one but can certainly relate.
I haven’t read this one, but I think I’ve read other books by her. Maybe? Hope you like it, Carole!
It happens to the best of us – those books on our to-read list have a way of piling up! It’s great that you’ve already collected most of the series, so you’ll have plenty of material to dive into when you do get to it.
This looks interesting and I vaguely remember when this one came out. I hope you love the whole series!
