Why did I add Jurassic Park to my bookshelf?
I feel like this is a book that I really should read. I have owned a copy of the audiobook for more than 6 years but it hasn’t made its way to the top of my TBR quite yet. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive on Goodreads, with most of my friends giving it 5 stars which is unusual. I enjoyed the movie and the book is almost always better so I really should give this one a try.
What are your thoughts? Have you read this book? Would you recommend it?
OOh nice one! I never read that one either. I was always worried it would have too much science explanation going on. I did read one Crichton novel eons ago and it had a lot of science explanation going on that made it hard to get through at times. I think that’s what has always held me back from reading anymore of his stuff. I hope you love this one once you get to read it!
This book does goes more into the biology witch the movie does tough a little on. I think watching the movie bring familiarity to plot with can help when read the book.
I read Jurassic Park back in high school. Even those the movie is different from the book both are great in their own way. However I never got around to reading the second book.
Jurassic Park is so good – both the book and the movie!
I’ve seen the original movie and I usually like the book more.
I’ve only ever watched the movies which were great.
I’ve seen the movie several times but never read the book. I need to as it’d be fun to see how different it is.
I read this when it first came out and really enjoyed it! It’s fun and action-packed and I liked the characters (and always wondered why the movie made the changes to the two kids that it did).
Well, that’s a classic. I won’t read a book after seeing the adaptation, but I am the exception to the rule.
