I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
I feel like I am behind in every aspect of my life after this week! My internet connection at home hasn’t been very reliable which has made blogging and commenting a little more difficult. I was actually a bit ahead on the blog so I still had posts go up but that was about it. I promise that I haven’t forgotten about everyone! My car was back in the shop to fix the repairs that weren’t done quite right and to repair the additional damage that occurred while it sat in their lot. I have my car back at home in my garage safe tonight which is a relief. Parent – Teacher conferences were also held this week. My daughter is a fabulous student but she always wants us to go to these so we do.
Digital Books
A Darkness Absolute by Kelley Armstrong (NetGalley)
I have always wanted to read Kelley Armstrong. This one seems to be a bit different than her other books but I love a good mystery so I thought that this would be a choice for me. I did note that this is the second book in the series so I plan to get my hands on the first book before starting this one.
What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!
It sounds like you've had a bit of a trying time recently so I hope things get better for you soon. Have a good reading week!
Dealing with the wreck has been annoying but at least it was clear whose insurance was responsible. Life gets busy and that's okay. I am hoping to find some quality reading time this week!
OOoh a new Kelley Armstrong book! Totally missed that one! Though I am trying to cut back on my Netgalley grabbing! LOL! Adding it to my list anyway!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I am trying to cut back on NetGalley but I do have some requests in right now. I thought this was a good chance to try out Kelley Armstrong.
I hate when my internet gets spotty. Hope it gets better for you! Glad you have your car back and all fixed. Enjoy your new book and have a great week!!
Internet trouble drives me crazy. I tried to do some things online and just gave up. I am not patient at all. I am very happy to have my car back.
I haven't yet read Kelley Armstrong, so I am curious. I love a good mystery. My post will be up later today…I have one more book to finish. Almost there!
Enjoy your week, and yes, busy lives do get in the way of reading and blogging.
I thought this was a great book to try out Kelley Armstrong's work. She has always been on my radar so I am excited about reading this book. Thanks!
I didn't realize Kelly Armstrong wrote mysteries. I'll look forward to your take on it.
Yay, glad your car is back home and your daughter's grades are great.
Have a good week, Carole!
I didn't either until I saw this book. I am looking forward to it. Thanks, Sophia!
Yay for getting your car back! Always so annoying – especially when it takes multiple trips to get it right. I have a Kelley Armstrong book but I think it's the 2nd in the series and I haven't tracked down the first yet. I look forward to seeing what you think of this one as the mysteries appeal to me more than her other books.
It has been very annoying. I am very thankful that I wasn't hurt. I didn't realize that this book was the second in a series at first but I think I can get caught up pretty easily.
