This week’s neglected book
Deal with the Devil by Kit Rocha
Series: Mercenary Librarians #1
Publication Date: July 28, 2020
Publisher: Tor Books
Deal with the Devil is Orphan Black meets the post-apocalyptic Avengers by USA Today and New York Times bestselling author duo Kit Rocha.
Nina is an information broker with a mission–she and her team of mercenary librarians use their knowledge to save the hopeless in a crumbling America.
Knox is the bitter, battle-weary captain of the Silver Devils. His squad of supersoldiers went AWOL to avoid slaughtering innocents, and now he’s fighting to survive.
They’re on a deadly collision course, and the passion that flares between them only makes it more dangerous. They could burn down the world, destroying each other in the process…
Or they could do the impossible: team up.
This is the first book in a near-future science fiction series with elements of romance.
Why did I add Deal with the Devil to my bookshelf?
This book was pushed to the side simply because of the fact that it was being published while I was moving and I had no time to read. Now a smart person would have read all of the books that got skipped over during my move before adding more to their pile – but I never claimed to be smart. So I still have this book and I still want to read it because it sound fabulous. I have really put the brakes on requesting ARCs recently so hopefully, I can start working on some of the amazing books like this one hanging out in my neglected pile.
What are your thoughts? Have you read this book? Would you recommend it to others?

Hi Carol! I think the more intelligent person is like the ant, we know how to gather for the hungry months that might come. So there is simply nothing wrong with you piling on more books on top the one or two who were pushed to the side a bit.
This one is not my type of read, but I hope you will get to it real soon!

One or two? There are so many more than that 🙂
This book reminds me of many you have liked. I think it will be a hit.
I think so too!
I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks so much!
That would have been a tough time to get anything read, but I don't blame you for not passing up a book you really wanted to read. I've seen some great reviews on it so I think you're in for a treat.
I didn't request anything during the entire process of moving but I already had a bunch of books lined up to read. This was one of those books.
I really enjoyed this one. It has a similar feel to other books by the same author I have read. I think you would enjoy it.

I've been meaning to read a book by this author. I certainly see a bunch of their work amongst the book bloggers I follow.
I hope you'll get to it!
I think I have a big chunk of books that just fell through the cracks because of timing. This does sound like it could be great though!
Oh yes I did read this one

Yep, I'm not smart enough to read the backlog before grabbing new ones either!
