I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.
My Life
This was a pretty normal week for the most part. I like normal weeks so that is a very good thing. We did notice some water in the electrical meter so I had to run home one day to meet an electrician who came to look at the situation. The electric company came and replaced the meter eventually so I hope that problem is permanently solved.
On Saturday, my college-age daughter came to visit for the day with her boyfriend. I decided to grill and invited my older daughter and her boyfriend, along with my mom, and sister with her family. It was a small gathering but we had a lot of fun. Today, my husband’s sister along with her family are planning to stop by to see our new house. It is so nice that we have a nice outdoor area where we can spread out and still visit.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I just had to start listening to Bombshells by Sarina Bowen as soon as I had it downloaded. It was just as good as I have come to expect from Sarina Bowen. I also read Gathering Dark by Candice Fox and had a great time with the action-packed mystery.
I listened to some of Sea of Love by Melissa Foster but have now set it aside. There is nothing work with the book but it isn’t what I have been in the mood for. Since nothing in my review pile jumped out at me, I decided to read Wicked All Night by Jeaniene Frost and am loving it so far. To continue with my week of mood reading, I decided to stop putting off Naked in Death by J.D. Robb and I can already tell that I am really going to enjoy this series.

Books Added
Bombshells by Sarina Bowen (Author/Publicist)
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston (NetGalley)

Nice new reads too! Both are new to me ones here but I hope you enjoy them!
Here's my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Sounds like you had a nice week! Reading lots of fun looking books! I really need to start the In Death series but like you I keep putting it off but OMG it's like 50 books and probably still growing that is intimidating…lol.
Have a great week and happy reading!

Week in Review
I have realized, throughout this past year, that I prefer smaller gatherings! Who knew?
Sounds like you had fun.
I am curious about Gathering Dark, and I enjoyed the first three books in the J. D. Robb series. I hope to continue at some point.
Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
WEEKLY UPDATES
Hope the weather cooperates with you. It's raining in these parts, but temperatures have been great. The outdoor season is here! I am excited about Bombshells. I am glad Bowen found more ways to explore that world (though I still wish there would be more WAGS books)
I'm glad you could enjoy some family time outside and distanced. I was in a MOOD this week with reading and you are going to love the In Death series. They are awesome! Sometimes you just have to read what you want.

It's nice that you were able to have a nice time with some family. My brother is coming for a visit next month.
Having family over is the best. Glad you had two days of visiting and a quiet week. Yay, glad you got a good start on the In Death series. I'm only on twelve, but I love them, too.
Yay for a normal week! And it sounds like you had some really nice get togethers with family. Those feel so special right now! Have a great week!
Some nice things to read. Have a lovely week!
Having a yard has been great during the pandemic. I can actually talk to people! It’s still really cold here, though, so I can’t talk for very long.
A nice visit then 🙂
Glad you enjoyed the get together with family. It's been along time since I've had one of those. I'm really excited for Bombshells!
Sounds like you've had a very good weekend. I'm glad your daughter could visit and that you got to get together with your family.

I can't wait to read Casey McQuiston's latest! So lucky you got to read an e-Arc!
Sounds like a lovely little get together! I have an e-ARC of One Last Stop as well which I'm excited about.

Not really much going on at the moment and I'm happy with that! I like quiet!
COVID made me really appreciate a nice backyard, living in an apartment isn't cutting it for me haha.
