My Life
This week felt so busy. Our vacuum broke on Sunday, so we went to Costco to shop for a new one and ended up also buying a gigantic television. When we got home, I decided that the television was entirely too big, so we stopped at another Costco and bought a slightly smaller TV before visiting my mother. So I now have a very large television in my living room, and I kind of love it.
After work on Monday, my husband and I loaded up the first TV that we bought so that we could return it to the store. When we got home, my husband wanted to mow the yard, and the mower wasn’t working correctly. He was able to get it fixed while I ran to the grocery store and finished mowing in the dark. On Tuesday, we went to the baseball game as soon as I got off work. The Cardinals blew a huge lead, and I didn’t love our seats, but I had a strawberry daiquiri that made up for it.
I worked my normal evening shifts on Wednesday and Thursday, but was able to spend the last part of Thursday’s shift working at an author event. Brendan Slocumb was at the library to promote his new book, The Dark Maestro. He was a great speaker, and it was a pretty enjoyable way to spend time at work. I even got to bring home a copy of the book signed by the author for my own collection.
We went to another baseball game immediately after work. The game was rain-delayed, and my husband and I eventually decided after hanging out in the wet stadium for a while that we would rather watch the game in our dry living room, so we went home. On Saturday, we worked on our basement and ended the day at the movies. We saw Dangerous Animals this week and both enjoyed it.

What I’m Reading
I finished one book again this week. I wrapped up the fifth book in Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series, Shadowfever, and loved it just as much as I did the other times that I have read it.
I read more of Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera and am really enjoying it. I will only be reading this book during my off-desk times at work since it will be for a book club that I am hosting (but it is good enough that I am tempted to take it home to read in my free time there too!)

You seem to be really enjoying a variety of things with books, baseball and tv. I bought a 55″ Roku tv which is the first digital tv I ever bought. for Christmas. Before we always just watched streaming on our laptops or phones. Or way before we watched tvs with broadcast shows and had to record them if we couldn’t watch when they happened. I had 38 DVDs of the 2008 Olympics which I eventually watched all of them. We never did cable at all.

Your whole story ‘we went to Costco for a vacuum and came home with a large TV’ totally made me laugh. I don’t know why. And I liked Listen for the Lie. I thought it was an entertaining mystery. Have a great week!
I need to try Listen for the Lie. I’ve heard good things about it. That’s fun about tv and too bad about the baseball game. I do love Strawberry Daquiris and it’s been forever since I’ve had one though. I hope you’re having a great week!
