Weekly Wrap Up #450

I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

Sorry that I missed posting last week. After working all day, I just didn’t have the energy to write a post. My life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately. I have been going to my mom’s 3 to 4 times per week until this week. She no longer needs to wear the brace on her arm and is able to do a lot more. I was off last Friday and went to lunch and a bit of shopping with a co-worker from the library. It was a great time.

This week, I have been trying to get caught up on some of the things that I have let slide in my personal life. I work the later shift on Wednesday and Thursday, so I spent that time with some of those boring adult appointments. I had a mammogram on Wednesday and got the oil changed in my car on Thursday. On Tuesday night, my husband and I toured a wedding venue and booked it for my daughter’s wedding next year.

I haven’t been great with reading but I seem to have no trouble crafting. I made a pair of pajama pants 2 weeks ago, another pair last week, and am now working on a practice quilt. I also have several crochet and a cross stitch project in progress. I should probably get some of these things finished before starting much more.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished three books in the past two weeks. I hope to bust this reading slump soon. I enjoyed The Shots You Take by Rachel Reid. She always seems to do a great job with hockey romances. The Unworthy by Augustina Bazterrica was a quick listen that kept me guessing. A few days ago, I led a book discussion for The Book of Koli by M.R. Carey and was able to finish the book with just a few hours to spare.

I have listened to 55% of The Lamb by Lucy Rose and am really enjoying it. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.

  1. Sounds like you are filling your time with great things. I hope you post pictures of your crafting projects. I would love to see them.

  2. Glad to hear your mom is doing better! That’s good at least! I still haven’t found time to go back to my diamond art project that I started nearly a year ago. Things have been busy and if I wasn’t doing anything then I just wanted to read and veg out and then of course I was sick. I still haven’t taken new pictures for my bookstagram account either so I need to get going on that, but there’s too much going on today for me to even attempt it. Plus my parents are babysitting my oldest niece again so yeah, haven’t found the time!

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it once you get to read it!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. I’m so glad you were able to have a day off and get back to things like appts and crafting. My reading has been a bit less because we are watching tv at night. But that has given me time to pick up my crafting again. I find either something new and different or old and loved keeps me out of slumps.
