Weekly Wrap Up #452

Posted March 23, 2025 by Carole in Stacking the Shelves / 7 Comments

I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a bit of a strange week. Quite a few area schools were on their spring break which meant that the crowd at the library was a bit different. The elevators were not working correctly for much of the week, which added to the strangeness.

I can’t say that I was very productive in my personal life and that is okay. I just enjoyed my time at home as much as possible. Yesterday, my husband and I decided to head to the outlet mall to do a bit of shopping. We both picked up a few items and had a nice early dinner.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished one book again this week. I guess one is better than none. I enjoyed Jane and Dan at the End of the World by Colleen Oakley and thought that the narrator did a fantastic job with the audiobook.

I have read just a few chapters of King Sorrow by Joe Hill and am enjoying it so far. I picked up Before the Hunt by Barry Lyga and have read a bit during my lunch breaks at work. I hope to get the chance to read more of it today.

Books Added

The Unlucky Ones by Hannah Morrissey (Publisher)

  1. Oh fun! I haven’t been to the outlet mall in awhile. My aunt comes into town next weekend, so maybe we can try going then! Glad you scored some deals of some kind!

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it once you get to read it!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. It’s nice your husband likes to shop with you. I usually love Oakley’s book, but this one was just ok for me. I feel the parts I like were overshadowed by the hostage plot.

  3. I imagine it’s interesting to see the shift in traffic during spring break at the library. We’ve had spring break here as well and it took me a bit to figure out what was going on as I was seeing kids at odd times. I hope you have a great week!
