Why did I add A Blood Seduction to my bookshelf?

I have had this book in my digital library for over 12 years. I love the sound of the series, but the reviews seem to be rather mixed. This could be a good one to read during the quieter days working the library desk (although I am not getting many of those lately). I am crossing my fingers that this will be a good one for me when I get the chance to read it.
