It’s Tuesday! That means it is time to make a little bit of room on the bookshelves, load up your ereader, or make your way to your local library. In other words – It is time to get your hands on a new book!
Here are just a few books that have just been released that you may want to grab soon:
Scrappy Traffic Enforcement agent Maisie McGrane has finally landed her dream job as a Chicago police officer. There’s just one catch. She must remain undercover as a meter maid to gather evidence against Stannislav Renko, a charismatic Serbian mobster running a brutal multi-million dollar mobile chop-shop operation.
When Maisie is targeted by a killer who leaves a body slumped against her car, Renko comes to her rescue and takes her under his wing. From her perch inside the crime boss’s inner circle, Maisie sets up a daring sting operation to take down Renko once and for all. But can she pull it off before her family of overprotective Irish cops and her sexy ex-Army Ranger boyfriend blow her cover?
…you should be pretty darn sure the answer will be yes. For ten years, Connor O’Rourke has been waiting for Jessica Dunn to take their on-again, off-again relationship public, and he thinks the time has come. His restaurant is thriving, she’s got her dream job at Blue Heron Vineyard—it’s the perfect time to get married.
When he pops the question, however, her answer is a fond but firm no. If it ain’t broke, why fix it? Jess has her hands full with her younger brother, who’s now living with her full-time, and a great career after years of waitressing. What she and Connor have is perfect: friends with an excellent benefits package. Besides, with her difficult past (and reputation), she’s positive married life isn’t for her.
But this time, Connor says it’s all or nothing. If she doesn’t want to marry him, he’ll find someone who does. Easier said than done, given that he’s never loved anyone but her. And maybe Jessica isn’t quite as sure as she thinks…
Determined to track down her friend, Emily follows a chain of clues that lead her to the enigmatic billionaire Reeve Sallis, a hotelier known for his shady dealings and play boy reputation. Now, in order to find Amber, Emily must seduce Reeve to learn his secrets and discover the whereabouts of her friend. But as she finds herself more entangled with him, she finds she’s drawn to Reeve for more than just his connection to Amber, despite her growing fear that he may be the enemy. When she’s forced to choose where her loyalty lies, how will she decide between saving Amber and saving her heart?
Biweekly marriage proposals from men who can’t see beyond her (admittedly breathtaking) looks are starting to get on Lady Clara Fairfax’s nerves. Desperate to be something more than ornamental, she escapes to her favorite charity. When a child is in trouble, she turns to tall, dark, and annoying barrister Oliver Radford.
Though he’s unexpectedly found himself in line to inherit a dukedom, Radford’s never been part of fashionable society, and the blonde beauty, though not entirely bereft of brains, isn’t part of his plans. But Clara overwhelms even his infallible logic, and when wedlock looms, all he can do is try not to lose his head over her.
It’s an inconvenient marriage by ordinary standards, but these two are far from ordinary. Can the ton’s most adored heiress and London’s most difficult bachelor fall victim to their own unruly desires?
I had such a bad experience with Laurelin's other series, that I am afraid to read any more of her books. I heard the series got better but I just can't let myself read them. Maybe this new series will be better.
I haven't read any of these authors yet. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with Laurelin Paige's other series. It can be really hard to give an author another chance after a bad experience.
Dukes Prefer Blondes certainly sounds like a book I will enjoy! Plus, I love historical romance 🙂
Aeriko @ The Reading Armchair
There is just something about a historical romance! I don't read them very often but I love them when I do sit down with one.
Wow, you have a list of great new releases! I really have taken an interest on Anything For You (I love Kristan Higgins!) and First touch (the cover is so sensually mysterious), will definitely be adding them to my TBR. Thanks for sharing Carole!
Natasha @ Dreamland Teenage Fantasy
Kristan Higgins is one of those authors that I keep meaning to read but haven't actually picked up one of her books yet. I do agree that this one looks really good.
Nice selection, Carole! I've had the chance to read Anything For You already, and it was really good! I hope you'll be able to read all of these, and that they'll be winners 🙂
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I glad to hear that you enjoyed Anything For You! Hopefully I can get to it soon!
What a bunch of great releases! I'll definitely be checking a few of them out 🙂
Danielle @ Life With Two Boys
It seems like my TBR lists grows a little every week. I just can't resist some of these new books. Hope you enjoy!
