I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
Busy busy week. We made it through homecoming but ended up completely exhausted by the end of the day. My daughter had a nice time, she looked beautiful in her dress, and her marching band took 1st place at the competition so we can’t complain. I was finally able to pick up my car after the repairs from the accident. There are a few things that were not quite right AND there is a new dent in the front of the car so it goes back in the shop for more repairs next week. My daughter and I went to see Rob Thomas in concert Wednesday night and had a great time. On Thursday, my husband and I went to a Cardinals game. We had great seats but it rained for most of the game. At least they won! We ended the week on Friday with my daughter’s last home football game. Whew! I need a break!!

I am taking a bit of a chance on Under Rose-Tainted Skies but I liked the sound of the book. I am a long time fan of James Grippando so I was thrilled to be approved for his upcoming novel. I couldn’t pass up A Darker Shade of Magic when it was on sale. I have the audiobook but I think this may be one that I actually want to read instead of listen to.

Love love love Sandra Brown. I am looking forward to reading this book from her backlist that I haven’t had a chance to get to yet.

The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey (Audible Purchase)
Looks like I am in a zombie listening mood. The Walking Dead is back on the air in less than a month so I guess I am just getting ready. I have already listened to part of White Trash Zombie Apocalypse and am loving it. I have a copy of The Girl with All the Gifts but when I saw it on sale I grabbed it anyway.

I am so excited for The Walking Dead – and scared too! I don't like Fear the Walking Dead half as much although we have been watching it to fill in the time. I recently bought The Girl With All The Gifts and have always wanted to try the White Trash Zombie series. I love those covers and they look like so much fun. You have had a busy week so get some read and catch up on some reading!
You guys have been busy, but it sounds like good stuff for the most part. Too bad about the new dent and the unfinished things with the car. Cool that you got to go to a baseball game.
I've heard good things about A Darker Shade of Magic so that's neat that you were able to get it on sale.
