Vacation is over and we went back to work this week. No fun. I was pretty busy at work just trying to get caught up. It was otherwise a pretty quiet week.

I had a widget for Lisa Scottoline’s next book sent to me and I couldn’t resist. I caught Invictus as a read now and thought it sounded great so I grabbed it while I had the chance. I requested The Late Show a long time ago and had given up any hope so I was surprised to be approved this week. Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors and there may have been some squealing when I saw that I had been approved for Don’t Let Go, which I will be starting right away. I am excited to read the newest book in the Diamonds in the Rough series by Sophie Barnes. I caught most of the other books for $2 or $3 during all of the great sales on Amazon this week. I did pay full price for The Winter King but received a promotional credit for the purchase which covered the cost of The Awakening.

These four books actually should have been on last week’s post. We spent last Friday out and about since we were on vacation and ended up going to two different bookstores. Of course, we had to support them both by making a purchase. My daughter was the one to pick these out but I had a hand in encouraging The Hate U Give and do plan to read that one. I also hope to read Cinder but I am not sure that the other two books are really my kind of read.
The nice people over at Novl sent me this book. I don’t remember requesting it but I may have. Anyway it looks great and I can’t wait to read it.
The Deadtown Series by Nancy Holzner (Won @ Between dreams and reality)
I was lucky enough to win a copy of Deadtown from Melliane at Between dreams and reality. There was some kind of mix up with the publisher so Ace ended up sending the first 5 books in the series to make up for the delay. That was very generous of them and very much appreciated.
What to Say Next by Julie Buxbaum (Amazon Purchase)
I bought this book on Amazon’s Prime Day this week. There was a $5 coupon on any print book purchase over $15 and I let my daughter pick the book. She chose well.

Cinder has been on my radar for some time. I don't have many excuses not to read it now that it has found a home on my shelves.
Oooh nice!! I wouldn't be embarrassed! These are the hauls to live for!! LOL! It's like once in a blue moon where I acquire this much in one week! As of now–because I still plan to go out today!–my book haul is at 4. And I only need to read 2. It will be explained tomorrow, but yeah. I clearly have a book buying problem in some realms as I am contemplating buying Australian covered books but TBD doesn't have them, so I'm seeking other avenues. Expensive avenues. I'm in trouble! LOL!

I didn't realize how many it was until I sat down to do this post. To be fair many of these wouldn't have been purchased if it wasn't for my daughter. She is an enabler.

I am not sure when I will squeeze in The Hate U Give but my daughter is reading it now so I am okay with that. Invictus just looked so good I couldn't resist.
I am probably going to cave and buy What to Say Next. I don't know how much longer I can wait for my library to get it. Seriously, we have three libraries in my township and the YA selections is a little lacking. To make me feel worse, I won a What to Say Next prize pack, which did not include a book. *sad face* I hope you love all your new books!!
What to Say Next was only $10 after the promo code so I went for it. My daughter is excited to read it but I am not sure when I will get to it. Too bad your prize pack didn't include the book.

I have been wanting to read Cinder for a very long time. We couldn't resist buying it for $3 last week.
