Merry Christmas! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. I can’t believe we are already celebrating Christmas! I finished up my Christmas celebrations with my side of the family on Friday and we will see my husband’s family next weekend. My husband has to work 12 hours shifts all weekend and on Christmas day so we try to work our holiday celebrations around his availability. My schedule is completely open this weekend so I hope to do a little reading and get caught up with some of my blog visits that were neglected during the past several days.
Mind of a Killer by Simon Beaufort (NetGalley)
More to Love by Alison Bliss (NetGalley)
The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel (Blogging for Books)
Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant (Kindle Purchase)
I couldn’t pass Into the Drowning Deep up when I saw it offered on Amazon for $2.99.
Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs (Audible Purchase)
Fair Game by Patricia Briggs (Audible Purchase)
Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs (Audible Purchase)
Say Goodbye for Now by Catherine Ryan Hyde (Audible Purchase)
I decided to use up some of my Audible credits on the three Patricia Briggs books. I should get a $10 coupon next week that I can use to buy the book that I skipped over in the series. I have heard some great things about Say Goodbye for Now so when I saw that I could add the audio for only $1.99 I grabbed a copy.
OOh nice deals! That's a bummer to have to work on Christmas, but it's nice that everyone is so accommodating! Hope your first round of Christmas was good and that the next one is just as good!
Nice new reads! Some new to me ones but I do know of Briggs'! Sadly fell out of that series, both of them really, but I hope you will love it!
Happy Reading!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
My husband has had to work holidays off an on for the past 18 years so we are used to it. Some professions just don't get those days off. I grabbed the Briggs for a re-read since I love the series.
Hope you have a lovely holiday and get some time in around your husband's schedule. I really liked Roanoke Girls but is definitely a love it or hate it kind of book. Enjoy your new reads/listens and have a great week!
It kind of sucks this year that I have to work on the days he is off and vice versa but the kids are old enough that it isn't too big of a deal.
I'm just enjoying the sport and getting some reading done. A few more blog posts to construct and I'm all set for another year! Hope you have a good Christmas!
I seem to always be behind with blog posts and reading. Oh well.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Merry Christmas! I hope you get lots of reading and blogging done!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks, AJ!
Sounds like you have a lovely plan for all of you to have Christmas together and for you to get some time.
Looks like a good haul. I'll be curious about The Roanoke Girls. I adore Patricia Briggs so I know you'll have a good time with those.
Merry Christmas, Carole!
I do love the Briggs books and am looking forward to a re-read.
Have a great Christmas, Sophia Rose!
I love Briggs! I hope you'll have a great time. Happy reading and Merry christmas
Thanks, Melliane!
I enjoyed The Roanoke Girls. I hope you have a great weekend…too bad your husband has to work, though.
Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I think that I will enjoy it as well. We are kind of used to dealing with my husband's crazy work schedule.
Happy reading and christmas!
Thanks!
That's a great deal on Into the Drowning Deep! And the Briggs' books look great too. Happy reading, and merry Christmas!!
I do hope that I can catch the prequel to Into the Drowning Deep on sale as well. I love the Briggs books.
Yay new books 😀
🙂
We started the Christmas celebrations this evening and it will continue into next week. I don't care what we do. I am just happy to have my child back with me for a little while. I hope you and yours have a lovely holiday, and that you enjoy your "catch up" time.
I only get one day off from work so my time is rather limited. I am sure you are having a great time with your daughter back home for Christmas!
Aw, at least you are spending time together and celebrating when you can. Hope it's still a wonderful Christmas for you.
It really isn't too big of a deal to just move the celebration around but it is no fun for my husband to have to go to work on Christmas.
Ooh that's bad to work on Christmas 🙁 but I hope you enjoy your free time 🙂 We don't celebrate Christmas here but it makes me so happy to see all the Christmas-y vibes going around the globe.
I hope you enjoy your new reads.
My STS: http://flippingthruthepages.com/2017/12/stacking-shelves-12/
There are a lot of people who have to work on the holiday so he is not alone. Have a Merry Christmas!
Happy middle of yalls Christmas! I can't believe it's here, either. Crazy. Still feels like the beginning of the month to me. lol Yay on the Bliss! I have that one, too 🙂
It is the middle of our Christmas 🙂 This year has really passed quickly.
Oh wow, sorry about your husband not being free on Christmas.. really is a bummer 🙁 hope you get some reading done then! Have a lovely Christmas dinner, whenever you're having it 🙂
We will be having a late dinner tomorrow night so all is good 🙂
We've always had to work around work scheduled too but you just celebrate when you can and as long as you have that time together, that's all that matters. Merry Christmas. ?{Hugs}?
Enjoy those new books too. ?
You do what you have to do. There are lot of folks working the holiday. I hope you have a great Christmas, Jenea!
I love the cover for Into the Drowning Deep! It has a foreboding feel to it…something bad is bound to happen! It looks like you had a great week!
Do You Dog-ear?
I am really looking forward to reading Mira Grant! I hope that I can catch the prequel on sale before I start the series.
Phew, you got a lot of great books! $10 coupons are the BEST, in any store. 😀 I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Happy holidays! Have a wonderful week, Carole. =)
Check out my STS post!
I am stocking up on audiobooks and once my audible subscription ends I will play catch up.
My friend has been raving about the Roanoke Girls! I can't wait to read it!
I hope to get to it soon!
Sorry I'm visiting late. That's a great deal on the Mira Grant book. I loved the first one and look forward to this one as well. I ADORED Say Goodbye for Now. It was a great book and she is one of my favorite indie authors.
I remember how much you loved Say Goodbye for Now so when I saw it discounted, I jumped on it.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas! I feel the same about The Roanoke Girls, but I'm hoping I end up liking it. The cover makes it look so delightfully creepy. More to Love also looks good. Congrats on getting your forth auto-approval! 🙂
I hope we both like The Roanoke Girls!
I don't know why I haven't checked out Patricia Briggs yet! Hope you enjoy all your new books and listens!!
Briggs is one of my favorite authors!
I've been seeing the cover to into the drowning deep everywhere and I know how many people love Mira Grants books. I hope you enjoy it! It's a shame your husband has to work so much during the holidays but for some professions it can't be helped… Hope you had fun celebrating with both sides of the family x
He has worked a lot of holidays over the years. We have learned to moved celebrations to the times he is off so it works. I am looking forward to read Into the Drowning Deep.
