Stacking the Shelves #180

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.

My Life
It looks like the puppy is starting to find her place within our pack.  One of my dogs, Stella, started tolerating her more and more and Piper seemed to follow her around everywhere.  Molly still wasn’t sure about the new addition but did seem a little more open to her during much of the week.  On Friday, Molly started playing with her and neither one of them wanted to stop.  I am so happy that it looks like things are going to work out.

On a sadder note, my Uncle passed away on Thursday.  He was such an important part of my life and I always knew that I could depend on him.  My heart hurts.

It is probably no surprise with a new puppy and a loss in the family that my reading for the week was way down.  I didn’t do a whole lot with the blog and I am so far behind with comments that I don’t think I can ever catch up.  My daughter leaves for college in two weeks so I am just going to try my best to keep my head above water until then.  Hopefully, we can find our new normal very soon.

Books Added
Wrapped Up in You by Jill Shalvis (Blog Tour)
I love Jill Shalvis so I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to read her upcoming book.
Dark Harvest by Nazri Noor (For Review)

I really liked the first book in the Darkling Mage series so I am happy to have the next book for review and plan to start it very soon.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. Don't worry about the blog Carole, family comes first and we'll still be here when things change. I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. Losing someone close is so painful it's like having a black hole in your chest. I am glad to hear that your dogs are doing better with Piper-she's so cute…

  2. So sorry to hear about your uncle. Loss is never easy, even when you know it's coming. Blogging and commenting can wait. Don't even feel the need to go back to old posts and comments, it's not necessary. When you're ready to come back, just start fresh. Trust me, we'll understand!

Glad that Piper is settling into the pack too! It can be hard to mix puppies and older dogs, so I'm glad Molly was accepting of the puppers!

Nice new reads! Totally new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them both!

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. Enjoy your time with your daughter! We will be here. I have also missed a lot of the past month with moving. I plan to get the new Jill Shalvis on audio; she is one of my favorites. Have a great week!

  5. I'm sorry to hear about your uncle Carole, I hope you're taking all the time you need to be with family and loved ones!

  6. I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. You've had quite the crazy intense few months and I hope things settle down a bit and you can fine your new normal soon. Enjoy the Shalvis read and have a great week!

  7. I'm so sorry for your loss and please don't worry about commenting or catching up – you take time for you and your family. Also, you'll want to overload on time with your daughter since she will be headed off to college soon! Such an adorable puppy. I'm glad things are working out. It does take more time with some of the pack. I remember from Booker T's puppy days. Hope you have a great week!

  8. I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle!

Glad to hear the puppy is settling in though. Sounds like they may all be friends hopefully soon.

    Enjoy your family time!

  9. I am glad that the new puppy is settling along more at home, and becoming more at home with their family. I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your uncle, especially as you two were close :/ Sending love your way <3
