Stacking the Shelves #187

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.

My Life
I think that we are finally getting settled into our new normal.  Chores around the house seem much simpler with just two people in the house and I have more free time.  The puppy does keep us hopping a bit but things seemed more relaxed without constantly having to be on the go with my daughter.

This weekend will be a bit busier though.  My husband and I are headed to the other side of the state for my niece’s wedding celebration.  My daughter is coming back home on Saturday night to go to a concert so we should get to see her for at least a few hours before she goes back to school.

I decided to join Instagram this week.  I have thought about it in the past but knew that I wouldn’t have the time.  I think that this is a good time to give it a try.  I tried to find as many bloggers as I could find but if I missed you please let me know.

  1. Followed you on Instagram! It's a fun place to be! I follow 99.9% bookish people and accounts. I've a few family members I follow as well because you know, family! Lol.

Nice new reads!! Those are new to me ones, but I hope you will enjoy them all!

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. That's great that you guys are getting adjusted to a two person-puppy house. Neat that you get to see her this weekend, too.
Nice haul of review and bought books. I see a couple I want to read, too.

    Have a great week, Carole!

  3. I seen you on instagram so glad you joined! 🙂 You got some cool books and Laughter at the Academy looks strange from the cover…lol.

  4. I'm happy you are getting into the new normal. We are still working on it. I just can't get excited about Instagram. Who knows why? I bought Sapphire Flames in ebook and audio. I have seen good reviews of Hollow Kingdom and think I will have to read it. Enjoy the wedding and have another wonderful week!

  5. Isn't is strange not having all your kid's activities to do any longer? That's when I really started reading again, because I had so much free time of my own. Enjoy the wedding and safe travels. Good luck with Instagram. I just don't have the books or the skills for that.

  6. Hey welcome to Instagram! I joined too last year I guess and was doing really good at first haha, but then I fell away. I need to get back with the program I guess. 🙂

Glad things are settling into a new normal. I think it's a pretty big adjustment when kids leave the home, for sure. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Laughter at the Academy looks interesting! Seanan McGuire definitely writes some interesting books.

  7. I've never really been interested in social media in general. I'm still thinking about ditching Twitter at some point. I just don't have the time for all these extra things!

  8. I followed you on Instagram. I'm ratladymary. I haven't even been on there in a few weeks because I had been blocked from doing anything on that site for weeks but it looks like I can post, comment and like again. lol

  9. Glad you finally jumped onto Instagram. It took me a while too (and of course I'm already following you). Sounds like you are getting your flow back and I hope you had a great time at the wedding. It seems you are getting to see your daughter quite a bit still which has to make the transition easier. So….more puppy pics?

  10. I hope you like Instragram. It's something I just haven't been able to get the hang of no matter how hard I try. I am glad you are settling into your new normal. Free time . . . What's that? Just kidding. You've certainly earned it. You have years of running around ahead of me. 🙂 Laughter at the Academy has caught my eye. I do love Seanan McGuire. I hope you enjoy all your new books!
