My daughter has been home from college for a little over a week. It has been nice having her home but I think she is feeling a bit out of place. We had Christmas with some of my family last weekend and are off to celebrate with my husband’s family today. I think that I finally have all of my gifts taken care of which is a huge relief. We will have one more Christmas gathering on Christmas Eve and then I think we are done.
I am taking my last vacation day of the year on the day after Christmas so I am looking forward to spending Christmas and the next day just being lazy and hanging out at the house with my daughter. What are your holiday plans?

Some intiguing things for you! happy reading!
I think it was always weird, when my daughter came back from school. She was used to coming and going whenever, and she couldn't do that at home. I hope you have a lovely holiday and that Santa brings you something amazing.
We just have quiet days every day of the festive period with no guests or parties to worry about, just doing our own thing! During the day we watch TV or films together and at night my dad plays on the game console downstairs while I read upstairs.
Ooh nice new reads! I still need to read Winterwood myself! Love Owl Crate's version of it too!
I hope you enjoy your holidays and family time! I'm using the last of my vacation time for the days after Christmas too! Merry Christmas!
Here's my StS

I am trying to keep flexible with holiday plans since there is much I want to do. Mostly we are doing projects around the house and I am finally getting the kitchen floor replaced Friday. I am cooking good food. I'm trying to do some reading but audiobooks are working best with all the tasks.
I wish you the very best holiday and hope you get to just read and relax a bit!

Sounds like you needed the down time… I’m a big believer in listening to what you need, but unfortunately I don’t always act on it. I am taking the coming week off, though. So ready for some down time of my own! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Carole.
My daughter and grandson are coming over on Tuesday to open gifts. The holidays are almost over and then things can get back to normal for a while.
It's been super busy here with lots of traveling and visiting for the holidays. I'll be glad when thing get back to normal a bit haha! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a relaxing week. 🙂
Hope you enjoy the holiday time off with family, Carole!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday. It's been very busy here and I'm planning to just relax for Christmas.
I hope you have a nice relaxing holiday. I'm taking a few days off at the end of the week and I cannot wait. All I want to do is laze on the couch with a cat or two and read.
Ohh Sanderson! Love him
You got some cool books! Merry Christmas!
I know exactly how you feel, except I've been watching TV instead of reading. I just started Castle Rock which I'm enjoying. I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

There's nothing wrong with taking a rest and a bit of break when you need one and just want to relax! I am glad you could have one and enjoy the holidays. Call down the hawk is wonderful and I hope you can get to it soon after reading the raven cycle 😀
My son is home for the holidays and I didn't realize how much I have to pick up after him. It's strange, and it's probably different for him since being on his own. Enjoy spending time with your daughter relaxing.
