My Life
This week flew by! Our dishwasher quit working last weekend and I have learned that I really don’t like being without a dishwasher. We decided to fix it ourselves. We ordered the part that we thought we needed to put on the dishwasher and when that didn’t work, we tried the next possibility and were able to fix it ourselves. I was pretty proud that we were able to take care of this task on our own.
Yesterday, we did a few chores around my mom’s house and went to lunch. I did some reading this week and took the dogs on what felt like neverending loops around the block.
It was actually a pretty normal week with the exception of the amount of time we spent on home repairs.

What I’m Reading
I finished the audiobook of For a Few Demons More by Kim Harrison early in the week. It was a fairly long audiobook and I actually had to slow it down to keep up with the story but I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more of the series. I had a great time with All Consuming by Jaci Burton and thought that Kal and Hannah’s story was a wonderful way to wrap up the trilogy. Sheltered by Justin S. Leslie was a quick audio listen and I was excited to get my zombie fix in this week. I found Featherbed by Annabeth Albert to be a fantastic read and am looking forward to reading more books set in The World of True North!
I am determined to read some of What Big Teeth by Rose Szabo this week. I have just started listening to The Drowning Kind by Jennifer McMahn and am very intrigued.

Good job getting it fixed on your own! I'm the dishwasher in this house! Even if we wanted one, there is no space in our kitchen to get one. If I moved to a bigger house I'd consider it!
Ahh, For a Few Demons More was the game changer of the Hollows series. Not only was it the book to turn the series over to hardcovers, but that ending! Oh god, I'm still not over it after all these years. And Kim recently said she had a draft where things "ended" differently. I mean I love where the series is at now, but man, I would've like the alternate better way back then too! Lol.

Yay for doing your own repairs. I just don't want anybody in our house with COVID so that's awesome. I did a Read-along of the Hollows books in 2014, my first year of blogging, and now the series is continuing and I'm enjoying it. Happy reading!

Good job getting that fixed on your own! I would never be able to do that as I can't get down on my hands and knees because of arthritis so if our dishwasher goes out it's get a new one…lol. 🙂 Lots of cool books!!
