My Life
This week didn’t quite go as planned. On Monday, my carpal tunnel was really flaring up so I didn’t do a lot after work that day which put me behind before the week really got started. On Tuesday, I started having the visual aura that I sometimes get at the start of a migraine. I was by myself at work and basically couldn’t see much of anything for about an hour which was less than ideal. I have some medicine that I can take at the start of a migraine which keeps it at a more tolerable level but I felt like I was in a bit of a fog and my vision was off until mid-day on Wednesday.
Needless to say, I didn’t get everything done this week that I planned to get done. I am way behind on blog hopping but I am going to do my best to catch up with everyone in the next week.
The weather was really nice for much of the week and I did spend some time just enjoying being outside. I don’t know a lot about plants but I am determined to learn and am loving seeing all the plants at my house coming back after the winter.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I finished Sea of Love by Melissa Foster early in the week and liked it well enough. I then changed gears and decided to listen to The Coldest Case by James Patterson which is available to borrow as a part of Audible Plus. I highly recommend this one if you are looking for a shorter listen. It reminded me of listening to a television show since it had a full cast and a lot of really well-done sound effects. I had a good time with You Love Me by Caroline Kepnes and thought that the last part of the book really picked up the pace. Yesterday I finished reading What’s Done in Darkness by Laura McHugh and absolutely loved it. I have read one other book by this author which I also enjoyed so I think that I am going to have to see about getting my hands on her other books.
Book of the Month
Libertie by Kaitlyn Greenidge
The Hunting Wives by May Cobb
Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
You Spin Me by Karen Grey (For Review)
The Bone Code by Kathy Reichs (For Review)

Sorry you had so many flare ups this week. I hope you are feeling better. Your yard looks lovely. Is that rock-like thing a fountain? May this week be better than the last.
It is a fountain! I would have never bought it myself but it came with the house. Turns out I kind of like it 🙂
Migraines are the worst. I used to have debilitating ones where I literally vomit from excruciating pain and dizziness. It's so painful. I hope you're feeling better and you can find a more effective treatment.
Have a great week, Carole and happy reading!
Sorry your week got off on the wrong foot. I hope you're feeling better now. I know when I got bad headaches all I want to do is lay down and do nothing that requires thinking…which obviously is not an ideal cure when you have to work. Lol.
Nice new reads! Lots of new to me ones but I love the title for You Spin Me! I am so totally singing that song in my head now as I write this comment! Lol. And most definitely Wedding Singer style! 😉
Here's my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
So glad you like the title, Jessica and I hope you’ll give it a read!
Oh no, I hope you're feeling better! That sounds awful. I'm just now finally reading You because I saw You Love Me at the bookstore the other day. I love the show and I'm loving the book too! Is it weird that I'm sympathizing with Joe? :/ Have a great week!
I'm sorry about your issues this week and hope things go better now. I like many of your book additions! I know quite a bit about plants, perennials anyway, for the midwest. I'm now seeing which ones will adapt here in NC and finding some new ones. The weather has been outstanding here, even with a bit of rain here and there.

Sorry to hear about all the different things going on this week. Hope this next week is a better one for you.
Sad about the flare ups.
I would love to learn some gardering 🙂
Losing my vision is the part of getting a migraine when away from home that I dread the most. Bummer you had to weather that. Glad your reading was really good this week. The Traitor really looks good, but I'll have to wait on that one.
Have a good week, Carole!
Oh, migraines are the worst! I hope you have a better week ahead.
Your books look good, and I am curious about The Coldest Case. Enjoy your upcoming reads.
Oh many nice things for you to read there!
I hope you’re feeling better! I’m way behind on blog hopping too. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with blog stuff when you’re busy.
I'm so sorry about the carpal tunnel and the aura migraine. What a combination! I get migraines but have never had the aura but know people who have to deal with that. I hope you're feeling much much better and enjoying your reading!
I am sorry to hear your carpal tunnel is acting up. I know that kind of pain all too well. 🙁 And a migraine on top of it! I hope you are feeling better! Enjoy your reading and I hope you are able to rest some this week. Take care!
You Spin Me looks cute!
