I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a pretty normal week. I went to work, walked the dogs, and did a few chores around the house. I had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning so my normal morning reading time was cut in half which was kind of a bummer but I guess I needed the sleep. On Saturday, we got a dusting of snow. Things looked pretty for a while and there was no need to shovel so it was really the perfect kind of snow.

I am taking a vacation day on Monday and am really happy to be getting that extra day off. We really have no plans but I hope I can spend the day being lazy and reading 🙂

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I was able to finish 3 books again this week. Now that I am looking at it 2 of the 3 books that I read were re-reads. Interesting. I listened to Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti. I first read this book years ago but never read the rest of the series so I thought it was time for a re-read via audio. I remembered little of the book so it was just like reading it for the first time. I read The Best Men by Sarina Bowen & Lauren Blakely this week. This was a fantastic MM romance and I can’t wait for the world to have to chance to meet Mark and Asher! Then I moved on to my second re-read of the week, Ghost Story by Jim Butcher. I think that I am loving this series even more the second time through. James Marsters does such a great job with the audio in this series.

I have only read 17% of Such a Pretty Smile by Kristi DeMeester. I am not exactly sure what I think just yet but I am intrigued.

Books Added

When a Princess Proposes by Kerrelyn Sparks (NetGalley)

  1. My week was kind of slow one too! Yeah, the best kind of snow is one that doesn’t require shoveling or closes the county down while we wait for plows to clear everything away! I have tomorrow off too and plan to read as well! Read a little last night after I ran a bunch of errands but grew tired. I’m hoping I can get this mammoth of a book finished on the holiday Monday so I can start something fresh this week!

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one. I hope you enjoy it once you get to read it!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. Sometimes you just have to do the mood reading. I could have made my post as short as your life part because all I did was sleep later, cook and clean, walk Lulu and read. We just stayed home. Yay for the day off! I hope it gives you a chance to do whatever you need, including more sleep.

  3. A normal week sounds fab and yay for a day off to relax. I’ve been sleeping extra since the holidays so I guess I needed to catch up. Looks like you had a fab reading week, too.

    Have a good one, Carole!

  4. Nice that you got to experience snow without the hassle of shoveling. Yay for a day off!

I’ve listened to a couple of the Jim Butcher series with James Marsters narrating and he’s wonderful! Enjoy your day off, Carole!

  5. We have a rare day off together today too but don’t have any plans. I imagine the husband and child will sleep in until noon at least. I love the Dresden Files! I hope you enjoy your reading and have a great week!
