I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a pretty quiet week. I spent much of last weekend watching football and am really looking forward to doing the same today. Go Chiefs! Other than that, I spent my week going to work, walking the dogs, writing reviews, and trying to figure out what to make for dinner. It is a glamourous life.

The only thing that I did outside of my regular routine was to go to the book sale at the Jewish Community Center near my house. I promised my husband that I wouldn’t buy too much. I lied. I have no regrets though since eI found a lot of books that I am excited to read and the price was right with hardcovers priced at $3 each and trade paperbacks were $2 each.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 4 books this week. It was a really good week for audiobooks. I felt like I was flying through them during my days in the office. I finished Lethal Lies by Rebecca Zanetti early in the week and enjoyed it quite a bit. Then I moved on to Wanted and Wired by Vivien Jackson which I really liked. It was then time to listen to Hearts at Play by Melissa Foster. I finished Once Upon a Puppy by Lizzie Shane on Friday night and thought it was just as good as the other books in the Pine Hollow series.

I am halfway done with Hunt the Stars by Jessie Mihalik as I write this post and I am loving it. I have listened to just a few hours of Cold Days by Jim Butcher but I am very excited to be in Harry’s world once again.

Books Added

I went a little crazy at the book sale held at the local Jewish Community Center last weekend.

I have no regrets.

  1. Holy book haul! Those were great prices though. I read some of those books, and they were great. I hope you enjoy them all.

  3. I’ve read or am reading many of the books you are and loved them. WOW you did get some awesome books at the sale. I am a big fan of David Baldacci and just discovered him a couple years ago so now I am working on his excellent back list. There is not a thing wrong with a quiet week.

  4. I don’t follow football, but my mom had the game on when we were visiting this afternoon and I caught the very end of the game. I am glad you were able to find some great finds at the book sale. It’s best to buy them while you can–who knows when you will come across them at such a good price again, right? That’s my argument for not passing up a sale, anyway. 🙂 I hope you have a great week and enjoy your books!

  5. It’s hard to resist the books when it’s such a good deal, right? I’m struggling with where to put them all. I just set aside a bunch that I’m going to donate or giveaway on the blog. With preparing to list our house I’m trying to clean out whatever I don’t want to take with me. It’s a lot of work! I know you just went through the whole process not too long ago as well. I’m a little overwhelmed.

  6. I was so bummed to see the Chiefs blow that big lead they had in the first half. Now I kind of don’t care who wins the Super Bowl. It’s all about the food and the commercials now. LOL Hooray for the new (to you) books from the book sale!

  7. I would have lied too. What a great sale and you did amazing! Now I’m wanting to go book shopping. I hope you have a wonderful week!
