I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a pretty average week. We had some nice weather and some really cold weather with a bit of snow. Hopefully, the cold weather will go away and spring will show up soon. My college-aged daughter is on spring break next week and just got home. It will be nice having her around for the next few days.

In other news, I got Invisalign this week. I had braces when I was very young but my teeth have moved a lot lately. I have one tooth moving behind another and my teeth are so tight together, it is often hard to floss. Anyway, my teeth aren’t that bad and I should be done with the whole process in a year or less. It has just been weird to get used to it this week.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 4 books this week. I finished The Match by Harlan Coben last weekend and loved it! I also loved Shenanigans by Sarina Bowen. I then switched gears and listened to Twisted Truths by Rebecca Zanetti and thought it was a great way to wrap up the series. I was captivated by The Score by Elle Kennedy and had a hard time putting it down this week. I gave 3 of these books 5 stars so it was a fantastic reading week.

I started reading A Blight of Blackwings by Kevin Hearne early in the week and I am enjoying it but it has been slow going so far. I have listened to 20% of Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison and can’t wait to get back to it. I just couldn’t wait to read The Other Half of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost so I picked it up yesterday and have read about half it so far and am loving it.

  1. I had braces too and now I have something behind my teeth and must for the rest of my life cos if they take it away the teeth will move, but they were straight! NO idea why I had braces

  2. Yeah the weather here has been typical St. Louis style. Lol. Good luck with the Invisalign! I’ve had to wear braces growing up as well then switched to a retainer. I still wear it at night and my teeth have stayed mostly straight. I’ve noticed a little shifting but it’s really only noticeable to me when I’m flossing…which my teeth are really tight together too so that’s always a chore! Hope all goes well with the process though!

Nice new reads! I almost requested Jeaniene’s new book, but then though it’s not too far off, I can easily wait for it. I’m close to getting my review pile finished and I really want to dive back into my TBR pile. I’ve been trying really hard the last year or so now not to request every single title I want to read, otherwise I’ll never get back to the books I bought over the years. But I will likely make that book a priority once I get a copy! Lol!

    Happy Reading!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • They took my retainer out when I had my wisdom teeth removed. That was forever ago so they moved a lot. I really enjoyed the new Frost book!

  3. Wow! Three five-star books. That’s my type of reading week. I never had braces, but my daughter did, and she is so good about wearing her retainer to keep the teeth from shifting. Good luck with the Invisalign. Hope there’s not much pain

    • I think that my daughter is now convinced that she needs to get a new retainer. They make all the difference!

  4. I hope for more spring-like weather too. It was 20F last night; the water bowl outside is frozen which confuses Lulu. You had some excellent reads this week and got some awesome ones!

I had braces and mine have moved too, probably too much for Invisalign.

    • I believe that Invisalign can do a lot. I really just wanted to stop the teeth from moving any more than they already have.

  5. Hopefully you’ll get some lovely days for your daughter’s break and get used to the invisiline. Wow, great reading week! I got the Other Side of the Grave and am antsy to start it, too.

    Have a good week, Carole!

    • I haven’t seen a whole lot of my daughter yet because she has been so busy! Hopefully, she has some time for us before the week is over!

  6. Ahhhh you moved to WordPress, that’s exciting! (I know, I’m extremely late, haha.) The weather honestly felt really weird considering February was a cycle of warm weather and then going to cold weather with snow, so I’m excited about spring as well! (Not so much for the allergies though.)

  7. What a great week it looks like you have had. I know many are excited for the Jeaniene Frost book though. I have been loving your instagram!!

  8. I love Jeaniene Frost. I need to read more of her books and get caught up again.
Good luck with the Invisalign. I hope it works quickly for you.

  9. I didn’t do braces until my 20s, so I ended up doing just Invisalign which was nice. It’s definitely a bit strange at first, but it starts to be pretty normal!
