I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was one heck of a week. On Sunday, we found a wedding dress for my oldest and a bridesmaid’s dress for my youngest. I am glad that we found something since we really had no time to spare since the wedding dress will come in just 10 days before the wedding. Tuesday after work, my daughter and future son-in-law had engagement photos taken and I tagged along since the photographer is a friend of mine. I couldn’t resist photobombing them. Here is photographic evidence of how big of a dork I am!

I took that day off work on Wednesday so I could try to catch up with things and finish a book so I could post a review. I woke up with the worst headache and didn’t come close to doing all of the things that I had planned. That evening, we picked out the suits for the men and had them measured. On Thursday, we switched gears to start focusing on the gathering that we are having today. My husband’s family is coming over to celebrate his mother’s birthday. We should have a total of 22 people here for lunch today. Wish me luck!

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I was only able to finish 1 book this week and that only happened because I took a day off work. I did really enjoy Eclipse the Moon by Jessie Mihalik and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

I am eager to get back to December ’41 by William Martin after setting it aside to meet some review obligations. I am almost 75% into Ever After by Kim Harrison and I am hooked. I just started reading I Told You This Would Happen by Elaine Murphy and am looking forward to getting a chance to read more.

  1. You’re hilarious! Seems like plans are going well for the wedding. That’s awesome given the time crunch. I woke up on Wed with a massive headache too and called out. Great minds.

    • Yay on finding the dresses! Weddings can be so stressful.
Love the pics of you photobombing them.
      Congratulations to the happy couple.

  2. That’s great that you found the dresses on the first day! I remember it taking maybe two weekend trips for my sister, but still seemed to find them pretty quick back then too! Lol. Love the photos too! Those are definitely ones to treasure! Lol. I hope the gathering goes well today what with the rain–though we sorely needed it!

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it once you get to read it!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  3. I love the photobombing! I also really enjoyed Eclipse the Moon. Have you not read The Hollows books before? I did the Read-along for them in 2014 and now have been reading the continuation. I’m really enjoying the continuation almost more than the original series. I hope this week is better!

  4. You’re really going full steam ahead with the wedding plans! Guess it will be here before you know it. The dress is cutting it close, isn’t it? Yikes. I hope the family birthday lunch went well!

  5. Looks like you are having a blast with all the wedding stuff happening there. I am so happy about that. And yay for enjoying Jessie Mihalik novel. I have adored that author and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Hope you have a great week and stay relaxed through the wedding stuff 🙂

  6. Wowsers that was one exciting week you had, Carole. Glad the dresses and suits are checked off the list and so cute of you photobombing with the adorable couple. I would be surprised if you had read more books. 🙂

    Have a good week, Carole!

  7. Huge good luck vibes coming your way about the lunch! The photo bombs made me laugh so much. I bet looking back your daughter will end up preferring those to un-photo bombed ones! Have a wonderful week.
