New from twenty-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen!

How to behave when the guy who broke your heart two thousand miles away turns up in your office:

One: Don’t drop your lucky coffee cup in shock, even though it’s been ten years.

Two: Don’t get defensive when he asks how you ended up working his family’s ski mountain… and why you kept it a secret.

Three: Give him the worst room in the resort. He deserves it for suddenly waltzing back in like he owns the place. (Which he kind of does.)

Four, five, six, seven, eight and nine: Do not kiss him in the hot tub.

Ten: Try to keep your heart intact after you break all of your rules.

Because Reed is leaving again. Hate can't turn back into love. And it’s a little too late…

I had such a good time with this audiobook! I have liked everything that I have read by Sarina Bowen so far so picking this book up was a no-brainer. When I found out that this book would feature a second-chance romance, I was even more excited since that is one of my favorite tropes. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop and ended up finishing it in less than 24 hours. This was an incredibly entertaining romance.

Reed and Ava were both great characters and it was obvious that they were perfect for each other. Things didn’t work out for them the first time around but I was confident that they would be able to work out their differences. Reed returns to his family’s resort after 10 years away and is shocked to find Ava there working for his father. Reed’s father wants to sell the resort but there are some doubts as to whether that is the best decision for everyone. I really enjoyed seeing Reed and Ava work together and the way that they watched out for each other proved how much they still care about one another.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did a fantastic job with the narration of this book. I think that their voices complement each other very well which makes for a very pleasant listening experience. I think that they were both able to bring the characters of this story to life and were able to bring a lot of emotion into their reading. I am certain that their narration added to my overall enjoyment of this story.

I would not hesitate to recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This was a fun story with characters that were easy to root for. I had a fantastic time watching this pair find their happily ever after together. I cannot wait to meet the next two Madigan brothers!

  3. This sounds like a fun contemporary romance! I like the ski resort setting and Rule #3 made me laugh so I should give this a try.
