I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

I have been dragging this week. I have had a bit of a cold and just didn’t have a lot of energy. Nothing to get excited about but it did make for a long week. I spent a lot of the workweek alone in the office which I actually enjoy.

On Thursday, I went to see Elle Cosimano at my local library with my daughter. It was a good time and I got my books signed. I even got to talk to Jessica @ a GREAT read while I was there.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 5 books this week. Early in the work week, I listened to A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon by Sarah Hawley and found it to be incredibly entertaining. I found This Time It’s Real by Ann Liang to be a delightful YA romance. On the Savage Side by Tiffany McDaniel was a very well-written but also very dark novel. I just couldn’t wait to start reading The New Guy by Sarina Bowen and found this MM hockey romance to be just as good as I had hoped it would be. Written in Bone by Sue Black was exactly the kind of non-fiction book that I enjoy.

I started listening to A Sinister Revenge by Deanna Raybourn Saturday night while I was working on a puzzle and am loving it so far.

Books Added

The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren (Publisher); The New Guy by Sarina Bowen (Author/Publicist); Hold on to Me by Karen Grey (Author/Publicist)

  1. Hope whatever is dragging you down gets better. It’s been forever since I have been to a book event. How fun! Super jelly you got the new CLo (that pub has little love for me, but my library with get it). Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

  2. It was fun seeing you at the signing this week! I still haven’t really caught up on my sleep from those events back to back and I was awoken by a dream I can’t remember this morning and couldn’t fall back asleep, so I’m pretty tired this morning! Hope you’re more on the mend now. Colds are a pain!

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. You are really reading well. Exciting to get to see authors and bloggers at your library. (I still go nowhere without a mask so it’s weird to see photos). I’m glad to hear you liked the Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating as I think I’d like to read it. Fake dating is a favorite for me. I hope you feel much better this week.

Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

  4. Bummer you caught a cold. I’ve got a matching sore throat and infection. 🙁 Yay for seeing a fun author and blogger pal at the library. Glad you’re loving the latest Veronica Speedwell.

    Have a great week, Carole!

  5. Great week it looks like you have had there! I am glad that you enjoy going into the office. I do miss the office working from home so much sometimes. I am thrilled that you loved that Sarina Bowen though. Hope you pick up some fab reads!

  6. Oh what a fun event! I’ve heard good things about Elle Cosimano so that’s exciting you got to meet her!!
