The second novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling Otherworld series.

Elena Michaels is back—and she has company. When a young witch tells Elena that a group of humans are kidnapping supernaturals, Elena ignores the warning. After all, everyone knows there’s no such thing as witches. As for the thought of other ‘supernaturals’, well, she’d just rather not dwell on the possibility. Soon, however, she’s confronted with the truth about her world, when she’s kidnapped and thrown into a cell-block with witches, sorcerers, half-demons and other werewolves. As Elena soon discovers, dealing with her fellow captives is the least of her worries. In this prison, the real monsters carry the keys.

Lending a mission of vampires, demons, shamans, and witches, Elena is lured into the net of ruthless Internet billionaire Tyrone Winsloe, who is well on his way to amassing a private collection of supernaturals. He plans to harness their powers for himself—even if it means killing them.

For Elena, kidnapped and imprisoned deep underground, unable to tell her friends from her enemies, choosing the right allies is a matter of life and death.

Why did I add Stolen to my bookshelf?

I love Kelley Armstrong’s writing and have been slowly collecting this series over the years but kept putting it off for one reason or another. I recently read the first book in this series, Bitten, and loved it so it is time to dive into more of the series. I have had the ebook of Stolen for years but recently picked up a copy of the audiobook and hope to listen to it very soon. I am so glad that I finally decided to go back and pick up some of Kelley Armstrong’s earlier works!

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it?

  1. Ooh nice! I LOOOOOVED this series! Kelley is one of my all time favorite authors, but she writes so darn fast I cannot keep up with her. Already getting behind in two of her series, still need to read one entirely, plus a handful of standalone thrillers and not to mention a collection of her own anthologies, plus another two duologies that I just remembered about! Needless to say I wish I could read as fast as she can write! Lol.

  2. I read and enjoyed Bitten like a million years ago and also never went further in the series. I know it was a favorite of others and has tv and everything too. Maybe someday. I’m engrossed in her deluge of current books.

  3. Armstrong seems to be quite a popular author, and being that you are a fan, seems like this is a sure thing. I am reading my first Armstrong books soon-ish — Finding Mr. Write. I can join the Armstrong club

  4. I loved this series, but Stolen was not my favorite of the books. (I somehow managed to accidentally skip it when I first read the series, and went from book 1 to book 3. I was very confused… and this might be part of why I didn’t like Stolen as much as I could have.) I hope you enjoy it!

  5. I’ve mostly read her newer stuff, but I’ve been chipping away at one of her other older series. This one is on the list, too.

  6. I just started reading Kelley Armstrong and have really been enjoying her books. I’m looking forward to going back to her older books and this one looks really fun.
