I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
Whew, this was a busy week! We picked my daughter up from the airport late Saturday night for a quick visit. On Sunday morning, we went to my mom’s for a family breakfast so that she could see my side of the family. Later that day, we were off to the wedding which lasted until late evening. Monday morning, my daughter, husband, and I went to breakfast and did a little shopping. We dropped her back off at the airport at dinnertime that evening.
My husband and I took Monday and Tuesday off work. We spent Monday with our daughter and the plan for Tuesday was to relax a bit. We ended up doing a bunch of yard work and did very little relaxing. We still have a lot of work left to do.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I finished 2 audiobooks this week. Sociopath by Patric Gagne, PhD is one of the most interesting books I have read this year. I decided to listen to Love Bites by Cynthia St. John after reading a recommendation for it on Ilona Andrew’s blog. It was a fun paranormal romance and definitely worth the read.
At this point, I am not sure when I am going to get back to The Night Ends with Fire by K.X. Song. It’s a good book but I haven’t had a lot of time to read lately. I have listened to half of Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle and am having a great time with it. I read just a bit of Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland but I have a really good feeling about it.
Books Added
Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle (Publisher); When Among Crows by Veronica Roth (Publisher); Service Model by Adrian Tchaikovsky (Publisher)
Savor It by Tarah DeWitt (Publisher); The House at Watch Hill by Karen Marie Moning (Publisher); The Wren in the Holly Library by K.A. Linde (Publisher)

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
A whirlwind visit but it sounds like you have a lot of quality time with family. Always time well spent. I loved Just Some Stupid Love Story. I hope it turns out good for you as well.
Nice! Hope you had a good visit with your daughter! Sorry your day of R&R was all yardwork! Hopefully you got a nice bit done even if there’s still more to do!
Nice new reads! I’m excited for KMM’s new series! I still need to finish some Fever books with Dani at the helm. They’re so big, so they’ve been intimidating me over the years! Lol. But definitely going to dive into her new one at some point too! Happy Reading!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

I’m so glad to hear you took Monday and Tuesday off after the busy weekend. There’s never really a day off though. I always have plenty I need to do. Happy reading!

That is so good that you could see your daughter for a bit and get some time off. Even if tiring, it always feels nice to get the yard into shape. Love Bites would appeal to me, too.
Have a good week, Carole!
You had a busy week. I hope you all had fun.
So many great books. I have Just Some Stupid.. on my bookshelf waiting to be read.
Sounds like whirlwind week! But glad you had time with your daughter and family. Sociopath doesn’t seem like something I would pick up, but I can imagine it was interesting!
A very busy week indeed
